It looks like the Falcon 9 booster on its 6th launch failed to come down on the drone ship "Of Course I Still Love You'.
According to the video just seen, the booster performed its re-entry burn successfully. But, after the shutdown, when there should have been no flame visible, there was still flame coming from the booster. The video cut off, as did the telemetry from the booster.
The video switched to the video from the drone ship. There was a slight orange glow from off screen, but then nothing.
Another opportunity for Biden to put the squeeze on Musk.
It’s an amazing feat to land it in the first place. At 21 miles up, it looks like the electronics cut, and they lost both the altimeter and the speed gauges. No telling what happened to it.
I’m thinking fire and/or explosion. We’ll see.
No linky dinky?
That’s how you learn.....by making mistakes. They’ll get it right.
Is there a link?

How ironic. Looks like this was “consider this a divorce.”
None available yet.
“No linking?”

Saved a few seagulls from being torched tho.! Saw a few on the drone ship pad as the booster approached. ;-)
Sea Gulls on the Landing Ship Pad!!
A Self Sacrifice Booster Salute!
Depending on which part of the orange glow went bang it was 3 to 8 seconds flash to when the seagulls were disturbed.
Six tenths of a mile to one point six miles off target.
I’m not thrilled with everything Mush has done getting funding
from the Feds, but he is out there doing things that a like
very much with the space angle.
I’m glad we have a space program again.
I have no confidence in NASA at all.
Yeah, saw that flame, the telemetry loss, and then the video loss of signal and I thought “well, they lost that one”.

SpaceX got 6 missions out that booster.
Back to the drawing board.
FMECA
That’s 5 more than anybody else is getting, so I hope their run of luck improves.

Watched it live. Pretty obvious reentry burn went wrong. Narrator expressed a concerned tone.
On view of (intended) landing site, I was momentarily concerned for the safety of some birds, then realized the looming orange glow was far to the side and fading fast.
