In another apparent street takeover, Interstate 77 near uptown Charlotte was shut down earlier this month by drivers seeking attention for their poor driving manners. According to videos posted on social media, dozens of drivers were stuck on the interstate while others blocked the road to do burnouts.

City of Atlanta has this sort of nonsense going on. I talked with a CoA cop last Friday and this was one of the things we spoke about. It turns out a lot of SOPs work against the cops being able to do anything effective. It’s very hard to deploy spike strips within policy, you can’t block roads to trap the street racers, etc.
But they can block the road to street race.

But you can carry nails as a deterrent. Some flat tires will send a message.

NYC not too long ago had this problem with motorcycle guys. They solved it by identifying the owners and impounding the bikes at their leisure...then crushing them in the road with heavy equipment. They even made a video.
I blame dodge.
They have all those ads on tv showing their cars tear-assing through the streets.
IMO there is zero reason for a street legal passenger vehicle to have as much horsepower as these hellcats, etc do.
