During the fourth day of Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, attorneys for the former president went on the offensive by playing clips of Madonna, Johnny Depp, and several prominent Democrats including Joe Biden and Kamala Harris promoting physical violence.
David Schoen, one of the attorneys representing Trump, introduced the montage during the Senate trial Friday. He said that some of the Democrats accusing Trump of inciting violence are hypocrites. “We need to show you some of their own words,” he said.
The video included a clip of Madonna giving a speech at the Women’s March on Washington in 2017, during which she said, “I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.” In another clip, Johnny Depp pondered out loud, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”
Depp made the comment during an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival in England in 2017.

Trump and his team should focus on showing the hypocrisy and unconstitutionality. They’ve hit on it, but it would have been better to take the case to the American people through the Senate trial.

Loved the video!!! It showed what a complete joke the Dems and their Impeachment Opera is. For show. Politically driven waste of time and money for pay back, and to stop a successful opponent from winning. We still won.

One would think the Dims might experience some embarrassment while watching this video, but even if they did it won’t affect their political lynching of the former president.
Yeah, that would have been fun! Since Dems have no shame, it wouldn’t have embarrassed them, but they might have realized that they had flat out lost the case (which never existed anyway).
I thought the lawyers did a great job. A lot of people here were grumbling about them because they seemed sort of quiet and measured...but they knew exactly what they were doing: letting the Dems dig themselves a deep enough hole.
And they weren’t playing to Trumpsters or freeprs...they made the case to independents and and moderates..the average citizens.
