Cops should review stuff like that; a black guy was shot and killed in a Walmart by a cop - he was carrying a BB gun he just picked up that was on sale:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_John_Crawford_III

Have a social worker accompany them on their routes. Problem solved.

I applied at a small town PO. Had the highest grade on the test (do they have tests these days?). I was told by the postmaster he would never hire a woman so that was that. Of course, that was a few decades ago.

And yet, they continue to vote democrats to mayor and other positions who do absolutely nothing. Remember the definition of insanity — doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That’s democrats, especially in big democrat run cities. They are nothing but cattle.

In cincinnati, the Regional Center is in the city, and a specific, well known Benefits management company has it’s own building- a building that has it’s own Zip Code.

This building is two city blocks from the Regional Center. The last priority mailing arrived in 2 days to Regional, and took 5 days to go from there two city blocks to a dedicated Zip Code large drop office in the building.

I work for usps. It’s a lack of people, and for those who do work, an entitled mentality, I put my head down, do my job, and don’t mingle with the natives.

When I started at the post office they had the test but I think they eliminated it ten years ago. If you show up they basically give you the job, maybe they are just desperate since I don’t think a lot of them could pass a physical.

My sister lives in Chicago. Near Seminary street.

They have told everyone to NEVER send anything by mail. Anything of value will be opened and stolen, everything else will be delayed.

This isn’t new. Even when I lived there 20 years ago, you figured out pretty dang quick you didn’t mail bills in. This was before most things went online with autopay, so I had to spend on weekend a month running all over paying the power bill, cable, water, sewer, and phone.

From entering to job market I’ve worked 12/7 for 6 months at a stretch, I’ve worked 80 weeks for 6 months at a time, worked 120 hour weeks for 6 weeks. Not to mention working two jobs for 18 months. Such BS. Eat sleep and work, did it half my life. Sometimes 5 years without a vacation or holidays. How important is your job, your family. My family always had a good roof over their heads, good food, good clothes. And me? Not a damn thing except knowing that I did it. Did my family give a toss? Not really.
I was smart enough to keep exes away from my retirement. So, I don’t want for anything. Strange thing is that possessions mean nothing to me. To me what counts is having made my go to hell money.

Perform your job well, you get rewarded with more work.

And not just at the PO!
