During the second day of former President Trump’s Senate impeachment trial, Democratic impeachment managers lavished praise on former Vice President Mike Pence for standing up to his then boss and certifying President Biden’s election victory.

Proof that it was stolen....
I’ve covered his name on my yard sign with duct tape. His name will never be mentioned by me again. Trump 2024.
“All pences will be revealed”
Proof that Pence is a swamp rat and a fake conservative
Oh, please. If Pence decides to run for President in ‘24, they’ll forget all about what a hero he was and rip into him like piranha into a cow.
Iron Mike, baby! Go Republicans!!
I bet they did.......since Pence is one of them!!!
Pence did what he was required to do. Nothing more or less. Media spun it to death.
When the bad guys pat you on the back and sing your praises it isn’t a good sign. Like the “sensible” and “moderate” Mitt Romney being invited to CNN panels and smiled at by the moderators.
“Pence did what he was required to do. Nothing more or less. Media spun it to death.”
The dems and RINO’s would agree with you.
Constitutional lawyers and scholars did not. The majority of them stated his duty was to reject the votes from the states in question where there is significant doubt as to their legitimacy as certified by more than 1000 sworn affidavits by direct witnesses and mathematicians/statisticians.
I disagree. Pence let our country down, period! Even scholars of the Constitution said that he could and SHOULD toss it back to the states.
I VOTED for President Trump BECAUSE he chose Pence. Boy was I wrong.
I’ve got Trump/Pence 2020 whiskey glasses...
I want to keep them for Trump.. I want to dump them for Pence.
I’m leaning towards keeping them just to piss off my leftist friends.
Tells us anything and everything we need to know, right there.
That’s it people. Play right into their hands. We eat our own and they’ll help us get there.
Bttt
I never liked Pence’s mannerisms. The way he bobbed his head when he was speaking reminded me of George W. Bush.
“Pence did what he was required to do. Nothing more or less. Media spun it to death.”
Required? What are you talking about?
Sen. Tom Cotton had the most astute approach to that January 6th session — which was really little more than a formality. I paraphrase here:
“As a Senator from Arkansas I simply don’t have the authority to reject the electoral votes from another state in the absence of any formal objection from that state by a person or group of officials in a position of authority to legally speak on behalf of that state’s government.”
I’m not a huge fan of Mike Pence, but anyone who thinks he had the authority to do anything other than preside over a Congressional formality is delusional.
