Again with the hoax language. And bet. 99% of those who reply to this are Windows users(or left-leaning Apple) and 100% have no interest and will NOT be switching to Linux under any circumstance. In a sane world there'd be a massive operating system switch under way. Microsoft is every bit as bad as Facebook, or Google, or Twitter, or Apple, or pick any one you want.

I'm quite frankly tired of hearing all about "defund them" from the same people who refuse to defund them. For those of you who have switched though, thank you for defunding them.

We can't beat big tech when we're their biggest funders and supporters. That just doesn't work.

Leftists always say the opposite of what they mean. They’re actually suspending donations to politicians who tried to stop the election from being overturned.

Corporations should be prohibited from making political contributions. Only voters who can vote for a candidate should be allowed to donate to their campaign.

Ah, corporate money. For Deep Staters only. Add this to the list of reasons why many GOPe politicians refused to support Trump.

So where was Microsoft when Democrats were challenging Republican electoral votes?

"In nearly 150 years, Electoral College votes have been objected to four separate times, three of which were in the last 20 years and all four times Electoral College votes have been objected by Democrats [emphasis added]." —Congress Objecting to Presidential Electors Is a Civil Rights Imperative (12.30.20)

This is an in-kind contribution to state approved pols. It would be appropriate for the SEC to go after them hard. But this is the glorious new fascist state where big businesses are ostensibly private but really just tools of the state. Just like Germany 1939, just like Beijing today. That's where we are.

Microsoft has nothing to fear from the SEC, they are part of the modern axis of evil.

“Microsoft does what Microsoft does, and has been doing since desktop MSDOS onstalled in governmemt-contract-purchased desktops since 1993.”

I’m 68, and have used both Microsoft and Macintosh machines since that long ago. I look at Linux, and do not trust my future mental timeline, and also live in an area where the one geek shop available closed due to “the bug”.

Good. If we have fewer Republican politicians taking money from the tech oligarchs, they might finally be willing to take action against the tech oligarchs.

I just don’t see why organizations should be allowed to donate money to anybody. If individuals want to, so be it.

Something tells me Microsoft didn’t do this voluntarily. Why make such a public statement about it even if they decided to suspend donations ?
