Parler CEO John Matze has terminated by board — ‘I did not participate in this decision’
EXCLUSIVE – Parler has terminated CEO John Matze, according to a memo Matze sent to staffers that has been obtained by Fox News.
“On January 29, 2021, the Parler board controlled by Rebekah Mercer decided to immediately terminate my position as CEO of Parler. I did not participate in this decision,” Matze wrote. “I understand that those who now control the company have made some communications to employees and other third parties that have unfortunately created confusion and prompted me to make this public statement.”
Matze wrote that over the past few months he has been met with “constant resistance” to his original vision for the social media platform following Amazon’s decision to shut Parler down for failure to moderate “egregious content” related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
“Over the past few months, I’ve met constant resistance to my product vision, my strong belief in free speech and my view of how the Parler site should be managed. For example, I advocated for more product stability and what I believe is a more effective approach to content moderation,” Matze wrote.
Parler did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“I have worked endless hours and fought constant battles to get the Parler site running but at this point, the future of Parler is no longer in my hands,” he continued. “I want to thank the Parler employees, the people on Parler and Parler supporters for their tireless work and devotion to the company. They are an amazing group of diverse, hardworking and talented individuals and I have the utmost respect for them. Many of them have become my second family.”
Parler has been down since Amazon Web Services cut it off and was expected to relaunch before the beginning of February but things were delayed. A Parler insider told Fox News the delay was caused by new branding and changes occurring within the company for the sake of stability.
Matze told staffers he will take a few weeks off before searching for a new venture.
“After that, I’ll be looking for new opportunities where my technical acumen, vision and the causes I am passionate about will be required and respected. I want to thank all the people of Parler that supported me and the platform. This has been the true American Dream: an idea from a living room to a company of considerable value. I’m not saying goodbye, just so long for now.”
In addition to Amazon, Google and Apple have both suspended Parler from their respective app stores.
So.... the board will oversee the “reimagining” of Parler into something more “compliant” to satisfy Dark Tech?

The board apparentlly does not consoist of a majority dedcated to the 1st amanement culture.

Parlor lost the momentum, never regained its footing and did not hit its FEB 1 2021 restoration of service promise.
The cost savings at Amazon I sure was supported by everyone tossing out the CEO. Everyone likes cost savings until they find out their revenue model is gone when the cost savings bites them in the ass.
Was there going to be any way to quiet the Amazon, Facebook, Twitter mobs once trump picked it as his next platform. It was going to be the new home to the 70 million people in the world with jobs and able to buy stuff from advertisers without government checks.
Now the only value of Parler is the civil lawsuit against Amazon, that in a few years will be settled quietly for Bezos pocket change.

Folks it's a miracle that Gab is online at all right now. 33 million people came through the door in the past 30 days. Gab has a team of 5 engineers. Not 500. Not 50. 5. We also aren't bankrolled by some billionaire hedge fund manager's daughter (Parler,) we are supported by people like you.

Watch the six minute Bongino video for the rest of the story. Maybe Matze lost his vision, or his original vision was different than we were led to believe.
I was wondering about that. My response above indicated Rebekah Mercer has been a "true-believer/Trump-supporter" - one of them is lying.
You need to listen Dan Boingino’s response released yesterday. Dan Boingino, a smaller owner, released a statement yesterday saying this CEO is not telling the truth about his release. Dan suggested he CEO wanted to bow to Amazon and accept all the changes they wanted, in essence becoming Twitter lite. Dan said the owners are committed to the free speech vision of Parler and let the CEO go. Don’t delete your app just yet.
1. Make provisions for any contingencies for alternate/own servers especially in view of what had happened to Gab earlier
2. Failure to meet his original date for bringing Parler back.
3. Inability to bring Parler back even up ill today.
There are plenty of ways he could have brought Parler back long ago. All he had to do was follow Gab's model and buy and install his own servers. And Gab doesn’t have billionaires backing them either and they still came back faster when they got deplatformed by big tech over a year ago..

Yep, Parler is done.
I enjoy GAB very much. It isn’t just politics. God knows, we could all use a break from that every now and then.
There are sections dedicated to antique cars, general history, military history, nostalgia, and just about any topic you could imagine.
The site is owned and operated by a devout Christian, and it shows.
After FaceCrap started bouncing posters, and Parler failed, GAB was inundated with new users. I was one of them. The site was a disaster! It’s running pretty smoothly these days, albeit a little slow sometimes. Kinda like me.
Of course, Free Republic is still, and always will be, the GO-TO for political and sociological news and commentary.
Next it will be announced that billionaire Rebekah Mercer is marrying John Kerry.
Maybe Trump can purchase Parlor for pennies on the dollar, sue Amazon for mega bucks and use it for 2024.
