If you read the histories of both the French and Russian Revolutions, you’ll find that the leftist revolutionaries in both situations attacked Christian morality, promising new sexual freedom from the church to those who would follow them. However, once the revolutions were successful, they reimposed normal sexual standards (without reference to Christianity, of course) because the family is necessary for human social development and stability.
