The big biz thats left if NYS doesn’t care because they get bribed with lower rates than the private sector. Subsidized, you guessed it, BY the private sector.
Taxpayers, families, and biz not favored can’t flee NYS fast enough.

New York City is self sufficient in nothing! All the food all the water consumed in New York city comes from outside the city.
I say New York City should go 100% green and set an example for the rest of the world. Only battery operated transportation, and to be true greenies it should be mandated they could only re-charge the batteries from re-newable sources within the city limit.
All power for lights and heating must also come from power generated within the city as well.
I am sure New York City will become the Eden on the Hudson.
He should turn the electricity off while he’s at it.
That isn’t a NG problem though. That’s an extraction process problem. NG is still the cleanes burning fossil fuel available and we have an abundance of it. We can make it in garbage dumps too. All these electric cars that the left envisions will require electricity generation far beyond what wind & solar can accommodate. Nuclear maybe but that brings its own set of problems. NG seems like a real good solution for now. We should clean up extraction, not give up on NG.

Electricity is just as good, but more expensive.

Only a fool would make it a law to require something that doesn’t exist. There is simply not enough electricity available to replace fossil fuel energy either now, or in the foreseeable future. Even if enough could actually be generated and stored, there is not an adequate distribution system to deliver it to where it would be needed.
Of course, de Blasio is such a fool.
