China on Thursday intensified its rhetoric directed towards Taiwan and said its independence would result in war.
Reuters reported that Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian was holding his monthly press conference when the subject turned to regional tensions.
Taipei accused Beijing of flying a dozen military jets in its airspace on Sunday in an act of intimidation. U.S. observers said China was intent on testing President Joe Biden, who had been sworn in just days before.
Wu said the "military activities" in the Taiwan Straits "are necessary actions to address the current security situation" there and then he warned, "Those who play with fire will burn themselves, and ‘Taiwan independence’ means war."

China’s position on Taiwan hasn’t changed one inch in 70 years.
What kept them at bay was global/US resolve and the 7th fleet.

Indian forces have high-altitude, low-temp. forces there that are used to it. China have a bunch of panty-waist soldiers they moved in there that can’t take the cold.

The only thing China has going for it is millions (literally) of military-aged men, who are unable to find wives, because of the shortage of women due to the one-child policy (people selectively aborting baby girls)
The Bible actually predicted in the end times there would be ‘waves’ of millions of fighters. And NOW is the first time in history that it is possible to have those numbers.

That’s the kind of thinking that will put power in your rifle barrel.
I don’t have a real good feel for what it would take for China to invade Taiwan. What would the needs be?
100,000 troops landed? How many ships? How many landing craft? And I think this distance is a lot farther than crossing the English Channel on D-Day, so the chances of getting them across seems difficult.
