PALM BEACH, Florida – U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, a medical doctor by profession, made an unnerving prediction about masks on Wednesday, saying mandates to wear facial coverings are never going away as long as the political left is in charge.
"They will never relent. These people are never gonna let you not wear a mask," the Kentucky Republican told Todd Herman, the fill-in host on Rush Limbaugh's national broadcast.
"I promise you, you will never get out from the mask because they're saying that even after all are vaccinated, we don't know, you still might catch it a little bit, you still might transmit it, even after everybody's vaccinated. So don't listen to these people.
"The mask mandates have not worked, none of the mandates have worked," Paul added, referring to government strategies during the coronavirus pandemic.
"There's study after study after study that show that when you put in place these mandates, guess what, the incidents of the infection kept rising. Even [President] Biden admitted this the other day. The trajectory of the virus has been unaffected by anything we've done so far. Our only hope of changing the trajectory is a vaccine, but it should be voluntary."
An incredulous Herman noted, "The masks ain't going away. ... The technocrats don't want to give up control."
Paul also blasted the absurdity of the Congress' second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, who is now a private citizen.

I love you Rand, but you’ve been in that D.C Beltway Bubble too long my friend. Time to get out and take a look at the real world along with all your career politician colleagues. We need fresh non-politician blood in D.C.

Not only do they not work, putting on these masks for long periods of time will decrease your supply of oxygen, increase carbon dioxide and end up making you really sick.

This is the phrase the left will be using to keep us masked and in control.
I’ve never worn a mask and never will AND I won’t take their stinkin’ vaccination.
I’m not fat, I don’t smoke, I eat healthy food, take supplements and exercise in the fresh air no matter what the weather is.
I stay healthy by challenging my immune system, not stifling it.
I’ve been saying this from day one. As I told anyone who would listen, “Once you put a mandate like this in place, it’s extremely hard to get rid of.”
The now unemployed pipeline workers like the coal miners can learn to code. Trouble is good old Joe will move all the coding jobs to India. But what about those good paying green jobs? Batteries, solar cells and now wind turbines are made in China.
We need him there now and later.

Manufacturing is what supports coding jobs. Manufacturing is the biggest wealth creator in a country unless the country is sitting on oceans of oil.

A friend of mine who did EVERYTHING possible to protect against getting the China virus. He locked himself in his house, ordered meals delivered, wore the mask EVERYWHERE. When meals delivered he picked them up with gloves, discarded the gloves then sprayed the delivery box or bag with disinfectant.
And of course he got the China virus.
Agree 100%. If Rand Paul is removed from congress, the honesty level goes down to near zero.

1. The mask is a political statement
2. Dems want us to wear them forever
What do Dems gain by us wearing masks into infinity?
Is it a symbol that they are in control? Why not pick another symbol?
