If the media were doing their job, they might ask these important COVID questions
American Thinker ^ | January 27, 2021 | J.G. Smith

Some of these countries come in with numbers that, while lower than ours, are not much lower — for example, Brazil at 1,021.

Many numbers are spectacularly lower: Poland, 943; Chile, 938; Romania, 936. Or lower yet: Germany, 642; Latvia, 601; Ireland, 591.

And there are about 75 nations that have fewer than 100 deaths per million, among them Iceland, Bangladesh, and Japan. What are these countries doing that the United States should be and considering?

Granted, there are a multitude of reasons why any nation may have lower rates than another — for example, remoteness, climate, wealth, even religion. But with so much evidence that other nations are doing better, why are our media not asking these kinds of questions? Granted, they have been so obsessed with trashing Trump that they've had little energy left for anything else. But still...

One of the lowest death rates is India's at 111. Wouldn't you think some editor somewhere would notice that India's rate is about 1/11 of ours and ask why? If he did, he would find that India relies heavily on hydroxychloroquine. He might find that some lower numbers might also be due to India exporting hydroxy to 108 nations, where, unlike in the U.S., hydroxy is not restricted by government agencies and medical societies. If hydroxy use doesn't at least partly explain the lower death rates around the world, what does? Where are the reporters asking these questions?

Another question: Would the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine stopped the “steal”????

I’m thinking they had to scare the pants off Americans to pull “the steal” off.

BIDEN WIN IS AN AWARD TO CHINA FOR INVADING US USING COVID 19

Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.

Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies , as in Hong Kong, since that change in American leadership wave the American flag and present Trump’s name when doing so. All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader Donald Trump.

Would a runaway plague created by a nation which could threaten populations of an enemy cause them to react by demanding extreme restriction of movement by its population to prevent its spread ? Thus wind up fragmenting its economy and create defeat for that leader’s upcoming election. When they released it that was the CCP intention but it got away from them and went world wide

India is what we would look like if we had allowed young and healthy people carryon with their lives instead of locking EVERYBODY down. They reached here immunity and it’s largely gone away.

The countries where malaria is common have two things going for them right off the bat:

Hydroxychloroquine and Climate (very warm in the south)

Now, India is a big country, with drastically varying climate zones and conditions. It’d be very interesting to break down the data in various parts of the country.

One would think climate is also in play in the US, but, we have so many other variable factors in play, state to state, including widely varying mitigation, that picking out the effect of local climate might be very difficult.

I’d also note that HCQ unless taken as a preventive medication by much of the population would not affect case numbers. India reports literally one tenth the number of cases that we do. Thus their rate of fatalities per infection (or rate of fatalities per 1000 infections) is not all that much lower than ours — easily explained by our high co-morbidity population despite (one would hope) “better” care of serious cases, here. (HCQ can’t help much if one is a serious COVID case.)

The media. Doing their job!

Hell they are doing what they think is their job. Destroy, destroy, destroy, ideas, history and anyone that doesn’t think like they do.

Haven’t we seen this picture before?

India’s case numbers say they are not remotely close to herd immunity. They are literally 1/10 ours, per million persons. India would have to be underreporting cases by something like a factor of 20 or 30 for herd immunity to be a large influence.

(I note that CDC estimates we are under-reporting by 3x or more. Yeah, I know...)

A couple days after Biden is inaugurated and they suddenly decide HCQ isn’t poison anymore. What a coincidence!

(from the article) :" But with so much evidence that other nations are doing better, why are our media not asking these kinds of questions? "

One reason for the media not doing their job, is the fact that during the Obama administration,
President Obama didn't hold a press conference in over 380 days.
The media and the Press got so used to being spoon-fed by the White House Press Secretary, that they failed to do any research on their own.
It was much easier to be warm, have coffee and doughnuts, and await the written out newsletter (propaganda) than to pound the pavement.
That's the product of Socialism and Communism from the previous Obama administration: skills lost due to being provided with informational hand outs, no work, just show up !

There are Better Questions to Ask !

Is there such a thing as "herd-immunity" ?
Do some people have a natural immunity to covid-19 ? If so, how many ?
If some races seem to be more impacted by covid-19, are there racial differences, or does it happen more in urban settings and communities ? Socialization ? Contact sports programs ?
IF quarantines don't work, then why are we still in quarantine in some areas ? Restricting the economy ?
What punitive actions are being taken against China, for the intentional spread, internationally, of the disease ?
IF masks don't work, then why is Fauci suggesting that two masks may be safer, than just one ? Why did Fauci agree, initially with the Chinese Government, that the virus was not communicable with human-to-human contact? And yet, he accepted it for over a month ?
Given the number of viri that have come out of China, why would this one be any different than other communicable virus infection ?
Etc., etc., etc...

Better:

Why are Fauci and the CCP now disavowing prior statements about asymptomatic transmission???

It negates the whole ‘social distancing’ and ‘masking’ completely.
