The survey for the Times found a LucidTalk poll in Northern Ireland revealed a majority of 51 percent to 44 percent wanted a referendum about the border within the next five years.
It showed unionists held a lead over supporters of a united Ireland with the figures suggesting a 47 percent to 42 percent split.
But it found another 11 percent remained undecided - a high enough figure to threaten the future of the UK.
The Scottish poll, conducted by Panelbase, suggested the SNP was on course for a huge landslide in the Scottish parliament elections in May.
Scots voted 55-45 percent against independence in a referendum in 2014 but Brexit and the Government's handling of the Covid-19 crisis have bolstered support for the SNP, with most polls showing a majority now favour breaking away.
First minister Nicola Sturgeon would insist a crushing local election victory represented a mandate for a new independence vote.
...YouGov polls in England and Wales found support for Welsh independence has grown to 23 per cent from the teens just five years ago.
The end of the 101 year old United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and devolving into its constituent nations is a momentous occasion in world history. Now would be also the time for a free Basque state and Catalonia as well as Brittany and perhaps Bavaria
I do think we would be better off with more, and smaller, nation states. It seems like the best way to push back against Globalism and the One World Government crowd.

Speaking as a NBT (native born Texan) this train left the station about thirty ~ forty years ago. Too many blue state refugees here now.
Incidentally truly speaking the Austrians and Bavarians speech should really be classified as a language rather than a dialect. I have friends who speak fluent Standard German but are lost with Schwabian or Bavarian or SchweizerDeutsch. And a friend who is a linguist and speaks fluent Swiss German (native) with Standard German and also Russian, Polish, Czech, Slovak and Ukrianian told me that the differences between Czech and Slovak or Ukrainian and Russian are far fewer than between Bavarian and Swiss German. and the differences between Bavarian or Schwabian and Standard German is similar to that between Polish and Russian.
The thing is that the EU is more accommodating of Irish needs than Westminster is of Scottish needs.
