FLnsapanamacity4

The United States Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA PC), is located just outside Panama City, Florida and is a United States Navy military base. It is located within Bay County. Among other commands, it houses Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) and the Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU).

NSAPC consists of several tenant command organizations:

Naval Surface Warfare Center: Panama City Division (NSWC PCD): This is the largest tenant command and the Research and Development arm of the base. It is part of the NAVSEA System of Naval Surface Warfare Centers.

Navy Experimental Diving Unit (NEDU): The Experimental Diving Unit is the evaluation facility for Navy Diving.

Navy Diving Salvage and Training Center: The Navy Diving Salvage Training Center is the training facility for Navy Diving, Reconnaissance Marines, Army engineer divers, and Coast Guard diving. These divers are trained for such missions as wreckage recovery, mine defusing, and reconnaissance.

Deployable Joint Command and Control System

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Detachment

Coastal Operations Institute

Coast Guard Station Panama City

NSWC PCD conducts research on littoral warfare and its disciplines include optics, acoustics, mine warfare and robotics. NSWC PCD employs approximately 1,100 scientists and engineers within NSWC PCD. The newest facility on the base is the Littoral Warfare Research Facility, a $10 million research and development facility dedicated to littoral warfare research; it was completed in 2006.

Engineering projects of historical note include the Swimmer Delivery Vehicle, Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS) and Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC). Current projects include the majority of U.S. research into hovercraft technology and weapons integration for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS).

As the mission has grown so has the size of the installation; 657 acres in all. The unique conditions of the Gulf of Mexico, coupled with mission synergy make Panama City an ideal location for fleet training and littoral warfare missions. NSA Panama City employs approximately 4,000 civilian and military personnel with an annual payroll of more than $466 million. Additionally, the base contracts for local goods and services, which amounts to more than $600 million annually in economic impact.

The Problem Within

Bible in a Year:

Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

Matthew 21:9 A few years ago, a woodpecker began tapping on the siding of our home. We thought the problem was only external. Then one day, my son and I climbed up a ladder into the attic only to have a bird fly past our startled faces. The problem was worse than we’d suspected: it was inside our house.

When Jesus arrived in Jerusalem, the crowd was hoping He would be the one to fix their external problem—their oppression by the Romans. They went wild, shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:9). This was the moment they’d been waiting for; God’s appointed King had come. If God’s chosen Deliverer was going to begin reforming things, wouldn’t He start with all the wrong out there? But in most gospel accounts, the “triumphal entry” is followed by Jesus driving out exploitative moneychangers . . . from the temple (vv. 12–13). He was cleaning house, and from the inside out.

That’s what happens when we welcome Jesus as King; He comes to set things right—and He starts with us. He makes us confront the evil inside. Jesus on the donkey is like the warriors in the Trojan horse. The horse was welcomed as a symbol of peace, but its ultimate aim was unconditional surrender. Jesus our King requires the same from us. Reflect & Pray

What does it mean for Jesus to be your King? Why is it vital for you to surrender your all to Him?

Dear Jesus, You’re the true King. Forgive me for wanting You to only fix the problems in the world around me and not to confront the sin in my heart. Show me where I’m prone to wander and expose the ways I want to run my own life.

Howdy, lauren!

How are things over your way? Did you have any ugly storms?
I’m keeping an eye on the radar this evening because we’re likely to have something blow through here later tonight. We’re under a tornado watch but I doubt things will get THAT bad. We could get a hefty thunderstorm though.

Howdy, PRO.

How was your weekend? Did you go over to play with those silly pups?

Pretty low-key here. We did a little more cleaning out in the garage - - Aunt Martha’s junk. I’d gotten a lot out already last year but got burned out and stopped. Now we’re back at it again and MAYBE we’ll get it all out this time around. Cleaning up after hoarders is NOT my idea of fun. LOL

Hey radu!

I did visit Robin and the pups yesterday and they're as cute as ever, the little guy, of course, demands the most attention.

We got a smattering of snow yesterday but most melted today, still very cold though.

Cool that you're continuing to clean out the 'mess' of Aunt Martha's.

Also thanks for that link to that awesome military museum, what treasures it holds!

That silly lil wild man is never gonna change. LOL They’re all adorable and must be a lot of fun to play with.

Brrrrr, snow. Glad it was there and not here! It was fairly warm, though wet, yesterday and almost reached 70 degrees today. Now a cold front is rolling through.

We’re just getting the last of Martha’s s tuff out of this house. There’s still stuff in the barn and in some of the other outbuildings that she brought back from CO after her husband died. And in our garage.

There’s still a lot of stuff to dig through in Clara’s house but I just haven’t been up to the task for a while. THAT mess is still overwhelming. LOL

Glad you enjoyed the video tour of the military museum in CO. That place is amazing!

Hi, there, radu!

Did you finally get some of that garage stuff hauled off? Bet it’s hard to tell with so much piled up. I guess that ODAAT applies to hoarders, too. :)
