Howdy, luvie! You made it!

Yes, Hubby hauled a bunch of the junk out this afternoon and stuck it in one of the carports at the other house for now. It was way too windy to burn it today.

Been keeping an eye on the radar tonight since we were under a tornado watch for a while. As of the 10:00 news, it was cancelled for our county but you never know with these storm systems.
I’m also watching Brett and he’s just outside Birmingham, AL and a tornado hit there. I believe I heard him say Brad Arnold, who was in that area at the time, had his windshield broken out by flying debris.
I’m glad that storm won’t hit us!

How was your day?

Wow! Steve mentioned a tornado in AL earlier, but didn’t seem overly concerned at the time. I’m glad Brad wasn’t injured. And I’m glad that storm passed you by. Too bad it was too windy to burn that junk. I hope it doesn’t set up long-term residence in the carport. :) It’s a shame you don’t have a landfill nearby where you can actually get rid of some of the stuff.

My day...boring. LOL! Which, I shouldn’t complain about. I might start doing some light housework tomorrow or so. It’s been a looooooong time since the dust got stirred around here!

Brett and Brad were both ‘live’ for a while and I switched back and forth for a bit. Brad was just heading into Birmingham the last I checked on him but there wasn’t much going on. His “dot” went orange and I just assumed there wasn’t any reason to stream any more.

Brett’s audio is turned off now but it was on when he called someone and told them about the tornado. He was just arriving in Birmingham at the time.

There’s another line of storms heading for them now so their night isn’t over yet. The rain is almost all past us now. There’s a little lightning west of us and it’s pretty breezy but nothing rough like there is well south of us.

No, Hubby will burn that stuff as soon as the weather allows. There’s more stinky ancient Avon in the mix and we want rid of that asap! LOL It’s unbelievable how much of that stuff she amassed. She was supposedly an Avon rep. but she didn’t sell the stuff. She hoarded it - - and brought it all back HERE. I guarantee I’ll run across more before all’s said and done.

You’ll probably enjoy doing a little housework this time since it’ll be something other than lying around. :-)

Last time I checked the site was this morning and only one chaser was on-line. In a snowstorm in Flagstaff, AZ. I hope no one is injured by the storms!

Ick..more Avon! She had more of it than the company did. LOL!

I checked it tonight because I knew this cold front was bringing the chance for tornados and I figured at least Brad would be out. He lives in AL. I was surprised to see Brett there too.
He said it was an EF4 and I believe it from the damage I’ve seen on his stream.
More storms are moving in now and I hope none have tornados. He’s out in the middle of nowhere at the moment with no shelter.

We got rid of a ton of Avon that was in the barn not long after I moved here and that was over 20 years ago. I’ve hauled a bunch out of Clara’s house and a bunch out of this one, too, the past few years. She could have been rich if she’d sold all of that stuff instead of hoarding it.

I’m giving my sinuses a break tonight and not going to the garage. Between the Avon and the Colorado dust that was in the boxes I was digging through, they aren’t very happy. Hubby’s aren’t either.

Yep, it still looks pretty wild and wooly there. Hope there are no more tornadoes, though. They’re so scary for the people just trying to stay safe.

Yeah...time for a break and to breathe some fresh air. Gag. It was windy here today, too...but of course, dry as a bone. Though, believe it or not, we did get a bit of rain yesterday. Not even sure there was enough to measure. The dampness felt good. Except to the kitties, of course. LOL!

A very pleasant good Tuesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Lauren for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

Yep, it’s strobe light time where Brett is. Just a thunderstorm since he didn’t make any effort to find shelter. He has his radar and all his other weather equipment in the car. Too bad it got so pixelated though. Happens every time he gets in the thick of things.

So you did get some rain yesterday? Good! I didn’t know if you’d been lucky enough to get any.

Our rain has moved on and I just went out to dump the rain gauge. We got 1.7 inch since this time last night. That’s more than we’d gotten all month up through yesterday.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

How was your trip out with Gizmo yesterday? Has it cooled off a lot now that the front has blown through?

We actually had some good weather yesterday.

There were a couple of people fishing out there. I was able to get these two head shots of Gizmo.

Gizmo loves that lake water.

Walking towards the pavilion and the campground

You sure did have a pretty day. Not a cloud in the sky. Looks like Gizmo liked it a lot.

As much as he drags you all over the place, I can see where he’d make stops at the lake for a drink. Works up a heck of a thirst. :-)

Areas west and north of us got a lot more than that. We’re lucky to get as much as we did. There’s another front coming through Wed. that’s supposed to give us another good dose of rain.

Drat. Police just showed up where Brett is at last and he turned his cam off. Glad they finally showed up to go looking for the people who lived in that house. That’s the important thing.

I hate that the tornado was that awful. Hope no one was in the house when it blew apart. :(

Guess I’d better head out. My eyes are really beginning to burn now. I’m slowly getting my Night Owl MOJO back, though. LOL!

I hate it was so bad too. From what I saw, it was a monster. And from the house debris on the road, I have a bad feeling about those people’s fate. I hope they had a basement.

You did good tonight! You be a full-fledged nightowl again before you know it. LOL Sleep well.
