Twitter unveiled a feature Monday meant to bolster its efforts to combat misinformation and disinformation by tapping users in a fashion similar to Wikipedia to flag potentially misleading tweets.
The new system allows users to discuss and provide context to tweets they believe are misleading or false. The project, titled Birdwatch, is a standalone section of Twitter that will at first only be available to a small set of users, largely on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will not be provided to high-profile people or traditional fact-checkers, but users will have to use an account tied to a real phone number and email address.
“Birdwatch allows people to identify information in Tweets they believe is misleading or false, and write notes that provide informative context," Twitter Vice President of Product Keith Coleman wrote in a press release. "We believe this approach has the potential to respond quickly when misleading information spreads, adding context that people trust and find valuable."

I saw this article, and the name of the “service” that Twitter is providing, and the 1st thing I thought of was a group in the sci-fi show ‘Babylon 5’ called ‘Nightwatch’. They basically were spying on in snitching on people who were going against what the government was saying.

This reminds me of Obama’s ham-fisted attempt to counter discussion of the ACA (including how badly is backfired).
Jeez. Now they’re even ruining the word “birdwatching.”
Do this misinformation include the liars on the left?
Does Twitter disclose exactly how they use this information? Is it unreasonable to expect they will use this “service” to identify and isolate conservatives, based on which tweets they consider to be disinformation?

It will combat views that are in opposition to Leftist ideology and the new Marxist administration. Big Tech, including Twitter were in a cabal to shove Harris/Biden down our throats. My own Twitter account is history.
So what happens when we report leftist misinformation?

Look at it another way. If you cut a bunch of people off driving, you will be able to do some birdwatching. Perhaps that is what Twitter is doing.
