If you’re a man. I don’t mean a guy. I don’t mean a male. I mean, if you’re a man, your top priority, obligation, and, yes, privilege, are the safety and well-being of your family. That’s it. That’s the only responsibility that matters. And anyone who puts anything — including what’s best for society — ahead of that responsibility, who neglects his family or who sacrifices his family’s safety and well-being on the altar of some greater good, is not a man.
I own nine firearms, all of them loaded, all of them spread throughout my house.
If you were to ask me why I own nine firearms, my answer would likely depend on whether or not I liked the look of your face. If I don’t like the look of your face, I’ll tell you, It’s none of your goddamned business why I own nine firearms. What I put in my house is no concern of yours. You don’t see me asking you why you own nine blow-up dolls.
If I was okay with the look of your face, I would tell you the truth…
No matter how secure your house is, if someone wants to break into your house, on average, that will take about five seconds. This means that from the time you hear a thump, a crack, or glass break, you now have about 3.5 seconds to grab a gun.
There’s no place in my house, including the shower, where I can’t get my hands on a loaded gun in three seconds.
Plus, because of my work and opinions, I get threats. All the time, I’m threatened. Are they serious threats? Don’t know. Don’t care. What I do know is that a man with a family takes every threat seriously.

Hey, c’mon man! Scranton Joe is running the show, daddy-o! Does he look like a socialist to you? You just fire both barrels straight up in the air ... or some such stupid, senile crap.
only 9? You poor undergunned person.
Don’t need to place around the house..... while I’m awake I carry......
Then at night, it goes into a nightstand quick access safe.....
only 9? You poor undergunned person.Depends on the gun.
I may need a map. LOL!
In fairness, he didn’t say how big his place is. The minimum is a couple of handguns, a “fully semi-automatic” (if you haven’t seen that Steven Crowder video, it is highly recommended) rifle, and a shotgun ... per member of the household old enough to wield them. Personally, we are a shotgun and a handgun short. Actually, a shotgun, a rifle, and a 4 wheel drive are the bare minimum according to the song.
My grandparents didn’t even lock their doors at night, but I need a gun on the desk when I’m working in my own living room in the middle of the day.
A gun grabber believes that abolishing family, private property, religion and borders is what is “best for society”; in other words, everything that destroys a society is what is best for society. Eh?
My dad is my reference for man of house. When the Newark riot was raging and he was called out he told me: you are in charge here now. Don’t let them hurt any one or take the house. My dad always had a firearm within reach anywhere in the house BTW.
later when he knew he was passing he told me if anyone harms any of the women in this house: his mother her sister my mom or my younger sister take care of them permanently. I know you are smart enough to not get caught. Do not expect the legal system to do it.
Gun grabber talk is so last century
Price ammo out of existence, that is the new millennium way.
The salad days of “only” paying $1 a rd for 9mm and .223 will be a distant memory.
It’s heeeeeeere...
CCI .22 Mini-mags 90 cents a rd - ammoseek today

Salute the Marine...
Heeey! I resent having to own 9 blow-up dolls!!
My door is unlocked all the time...even when I go to the town forty miles away.
I’m surrounded by solid conservatives who own guns.
That’s great that you can do that. There is a lot of construction here, with lots of illegals all over the place. Gun ownership is near 100% in this area, and the hood rats would have to do some cardio to get out here.
I don’t like carrying all the time. I think the need to represents a failure of our culture to defend itself over several decades. Oh well, it is what it is, and shooting is fun.
.
There is no “society”. There are only individuals. Some are evil.
My brother-in-law, al from arizona, in never more than 12 ft away from a loaded weapon. He never wants to be trapped in a room, unarmed. SMART guy.
About 7 years ago, my wife and I attended a STEM conference for high school teachers and college instructors. We were eating dinner with a couple that we had met. My wife or I said something about guns. The husband asked me how I prepared the house before leaving. I replied that I had placed all of the defensive guns into the gun vault. He politely and respectfully asked if I would reveal how many guns that entailed. My reply was the 9mm handgun in my wife’s bathroom, the .45 ACP M1911 in my nightstand, the .223 Mini-14 behind the bedroom door, the .357 magnum in the kitchen and the .44 magnum in my desk in the basement. My wife said that I forgot to mention the 12 gauge shotgun in her bedroom and the handgun in my bathroom.
All have subsequently been lost in a tragic boating accident.
“All have subsequently been lost in a tragic boating accident.”
That is tragic! Flood got all of mine just recently.
What is best for society is for every man (and woman) to do what is best for their own family - including self-defense. If it takes a million cases of “shoot, shovel, and shut up” to control crime, I’m okay with that. If the rule of law holds enough that we can call the police/sheriff to remove the bodies, even better.
In contrast, if we abandon our responsibility to make our own decisions and defend those we love, we end up with an outcome that is the worst possible for each family.
9 blow-up dolls? Man, you gotta get out more. Want my ex-wife’s number?
