Question
Do the COVID-19 vaccines contain aborted fetal cells?
Answer from infectious diseases expert James Lawler, MD
No, the COVID-19 vaccines do not contain any aborted fetal cells. However, Pfizer and Moderna did perform confirmation tests (to ensure the vaccines work) using fetal cell lines.
But it's important to have the full context: Fetal cell lines are not the same as fetal tissue. Fetal cell lines are cells that grow in a laboratory. They descend from cells taken from elective abortions in the 1970s and 1980s. Those individual cells from the 1970s and 1980s have since multiplied into many new cells over the past four or five decades, creating fetal cell lines. Current fetal cell lines are thousands of generations removed from the original fetal tissue.
Vaccine makers may use these fetal cell lines in any of the following three stages of vaccine development: Development: Identifying what works Confirmation: Making sure it works Production: Manufacturing the formula that works
When it comes to the COVID-19 vaccines currently approved for emergency use, neither the Pfizer nor Moderna vaccines used fetal cell lines during the development or production phases. (So, no fetal cell lines were used to manufacture the vaccine, and they are not inside the injection you receive from your doctor.) However, both companies used the fetal cell line HEK 293 in the confirmation phase to ensure the vaccines work. All HEK 293 cells are descended from tissue taken from a 1973 elective abortion that took place in the Netherlands.
None of the COVID-19 vaccines in development use fetal cells taken from recent abortions.
We understand this topic is very sensitive and important within communities of faith. We want everyone to feel like they are making a fully informed decision. We encourage anyone with concerns about the use of fetal cell lines in vaccine development to weigh the risks and benefits of the COVID-19 vaccines with their doctor and have a personal conversation with a faith leader.
I will freely admit, that I did NOT take this virus very seriously at firs, and decided that it was all a hoax, to defeat Trump.
I still think there is considerable politics and misinformation involved with this virus, but
For now I've changed my opinion.
I take it very serious as I've seen healthy people die, and not recover from it.
One of the major misconceptions is that it contains fetal tissues, and was developed using fetal tissues. Both are wrong as is pointed out in the article.
I strongly recommend that you take the vaccine.
Parsed well. The lines of cells from abortions were set up long ago.
No.
They're dancing on the head of a pin trying to convince you.
Still, I'll probably take the vaccine. I'm 70 with underlying health conditions and if I get COVID, it's probably fatal.
Summary:
Question: were Covid vaccines made with aborted fetal tissue/cells?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: no, but yes, because let me go on a long explanation explaining why I think you should inject something into your body derived from tissues and cells from aborted fetuses for a virus you have over a 99% chance of surviving and why this has no ethical or moral implications because scientism
No, thank you. You bend yourselves in ethical pretzels trying to justify the presence of aborted fetal tissue/cells in vaccines and then if that fails to quiet your conscience you LIE to yourself and pretend the vaccines aren’t made with them.
Exactly. The inclusion of the word recent betrays their efforts to lie about it.
I will say that from what they say, if you can believe them, none were used in production. They were only used in testing.
That alone is not optimal.
You obviously did not read the article.
There are no fetal tissue cells in the vaccine. No fetal tissue cells were used in the development or manufacturing.
Yes, fetal stem cells were used in the confirmation process of the vaccine.
Not used in the development
If you don’t get COVID, you’ll die anyway.
Contemplate eternity.
I really get a kick out of posting articles, only to have people rebut what I post, erroneously.
Frankly, I don’t care if you or anyone takes the vaccine, but what gripes me is the mis information out there.
Your link is NOT about the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
Some truth here:
“The most prominent cell line, called HEK 293, comes from an abortion performed in the 1970’s. It’s labeled 293 because that’s how many experimental attempts the researchers needed to get a working cell line. Therefore, though the abortion-to-experiment ratio is not precisely one-to-one, hundreds of abortions went into the project, even if they didn’t result in the working line.
HEK stands for human embryonic kidney. To harvest a viable embryonic kidney for this purpose, sufficiently healthy children old enough to have adequately-developed kidneys must be removed from the womb, alive, typically by cesarean section, and have their kidneys cut out. This must take place without anesthesia for the child, which would lessen the viability of the organs. Instead of being held, rocked, and comforted in the time intervening between their birth and their death, they have organs cut out of them alive.”

I plan to—because I nothing else I want to travel on an airplane and I’m sure vaccination will soon be a requirement for that.
Why not just take vitamin D and keep Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine, proven therapeutics that reduce the .2% death rate another 80%? I refuse to submit to medical tyranny, to let a baby die for me (even if it was 1973), or be a guinea pig to an experimental vaccine
Nope. Got Covid about 10 days ago. 70yo, in good health. Mild symptoms. Wife got it also. I would rather have my body fight it naturally.
Example of satan’s linguistic semantics?
To justify it, they make it sound like sourdough starter.
I think it is a distinction without a difference.
Even removed using cloned cells, those cells had to come from somewhere.
I am not an “anti-vaxxer” but I think that should be an individual choice. You want to be protected? You get the vaccine. You don’t want the vaccine? Your choice.
It rankles me that there are voices on the left using the vaccination status for a citizen as a roadblock to travel, job status, or anything else.
That is, to me, unconstitutional.
As for being a hoax, this virus itself has not ever been, and is NOT a hoax, and Trump never said it was. He said the response to it has been a hoax, which I DO believe.
This virus is not the Bubonic Plague killing 40% of the people it infects.
It kills around 2%, and those deaths are highly clustered around people with known or unknown co-morbidities.
The hoax was and is, to shut down and destroy the economy and damage the Trump Administration and to create fear in people.
We should have been (since April 2020) concentrating on protecting people at the greatest risk, instead of destroying jobs, businesses, and the economy by shutting everything down across the board from hair salons to gymnasiums.
THAT is the “hoax”, not that the virus exists and that it is dangerous to various parts of the population.
