The problem with the concept of Twitter and Facebook being a “protected provider” of services is that they make money by selling advertising based on views.
So when they leave up images of sexual abuse, the views of that illegal material make Twitter money.
A fee-based service isn’t like that — if people paid for accounts, then Twitter would make the same amount of money whether someone viewed something or not, and could more reasonably argue that they are just providing a service, and are not responsible for how that service is used.
Instead, the tech giants are doing the opposite. They get protection while providing false information that excites the left and therefore gets lots of view of advertising, they leave up pictures that bring in traffic from perverts, and Amazon takes down a paying subscriber like Parlor.
Tech giants are the new arbiters of what constitutes free speech, accountable to no one.
This is a federal crime, lets see some jail time, huge fines and maybe a shut down.
