House conservatives have garnered more than 115 signatures for their petition aimed at ousting House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from her leadership position in the wake of voting in favor of impeaching President Trump for inciting a riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, a senior GOP aide told The Hill on Tuesday.

Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) - has more than enough signatures to force a special conference meeting where proponents of the effort are looking for a debate and a vote be held on a resolution calling on Cheney to resign from her role at the leadership table. The signatures make up more than half of the entire House GOP conference.

Critics of Cheney's vote on impeachment argue that the timing of her announcement, which came a day before Wednesday's vote on impeachment, provided Democrats talking points to go after Republicans.

"Rep. Cheney did not consult with the rest of our conference before supporting impeachment," Rosendale tweeted last week.

Bah. This was ‘full retard’ political stupid.
Dick can probably get her a cushy lobby when she loses the next election job, but any dynasty dreams he had are destroyed.

Another Quisling Republican outs himself in this article. He’s in an R+3 district and should be easy to fire. Although, he probably auditioning for a swamp lobbyist job now:

While Cheney’s critics have exceeded the number of signatures to force a meeting, she has also had a sizable number of lawmakers in the conference come to her defense.

“I think it’d be a disaster. I think we need to keep eye on the ball. I think we have a very great chance of taking the majority and if we continue to give the American people a vision of Republican internal fratricide, that doesn’t do us any favors and convincing them that we’re better out to lead the House of Representatives come midterm presidency of Joe Biden,” Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) told reporters on Tuesday.

Too little, too late

We’re outta there

PLEASE stay in the party long enough to purge the traitorous RINOs who are up for re-election in 2022. Defeat them in their primaries. They must pay the ultimate political price for their betrayal of Trump.

The GOP must do two things to restore any hope that Trump voters will stay with the GOP.

1. Immediately remove Liz Cheney as the Chair of the Republican Conference.

2. Replace Liz Cheney with a Freedom Caucus member like Zeldin, Gaetz, Biggs, Jordan, etc.

You forgot 3 and 4:

3. Remove any Representative that voted for impeachment from all House committees.

4. Prevent Senator Mitch McConnell from becoming Senate Minority leader and replacing him with Senator Ted Cruz.

Okay...but there is “something” off-putting about a woman in a suit and tie...or maybe it’s just me.

Dick knew politics. And that was SUPER bad politics.
Anyone who says otherwise is denying the facts.

So if 115 house Republicans have agreed to remove Cheney, that means almost 100 House Republicans still want Cheney.

We will need two lists:

1. The list who vote to remove Cheney. And then support these members in 2022 elections.

2. The list who vote to keep Cheney. And then work to get good conservatives to primary these leftist Republicans in 2022.

You're DAMNED RIGHT!

I'm not leaving the GOP and registering as independent.

That would mean that I won't be able to vote in the Republican primaries.

I want to send these traitors a message that WE WILL NEVER FORGET how they coasted to re-election on Trump's coat tails and then stuck the knife in his back.

I agree. I am going to re-register as a Republican to do just that. Then I am going to re-register as an Independent after the general.

Pffft... this is all Kabuki. Where were these guys before the impeachment? Why were they not speaking out then? Now it costs them NOTHING to do this, except perhaps, any love from Liz Cheney.

Sorry, I am really jaded. I see this as nothing more than a slip-shod attempt to patronize the base. Nothing more. Kinda like Lindsey Graham telling us over and over (especially near election season) “Stay tuned”.

Yeah, prove me wrong.

Other than nepotism, how did she get to be ‘leadership’?

She is only starting her 3rd term as a Representative.

I am sure there are many other House Republicans who have substantially more seniority than she has.

Graham, McConnell, McCarthy, Cheney ( Cheney is #3 in the House)

They’ve decided to take the masks off. They’ve been undermining Trump for four years!

Trump was a man without a Party.

Are you serious? Cheney was the biggest neocon republican ever. He told Bush-43 that Iraqi’s would welcome American soldiers with flowers if Bush attacked Iraq.

Attacking Iraq was the biggest foreign policy blunder after attacking Vietnam with hands tied behind back.

I agree with you about the suit and tie. I haven’t seen the photo and who knows, maybe her sister is her clothing coordinator. On the other hand, maybe Liz is making a statement.

Thank you for the additions. YES, YES, YES the House Republicans must lead and failure to lead will result in Trump voters failing to follow from now on.

The ball is in the court of the Republican Leadership.

They have a choice.

1. They can kiss the GOP goodbye if they do nothing to immediately remove all the traitors from any position.

2. Or the GOP Leadership can recognize the dire straits they are in and put strong conservative members in charge of the House and Senate.
