Eighteen members of the same family have been infected with COVID-19 after they gathered in Pennsylvania to celebrate the holidays.
Darlene Reynolds, of Milmont Park, said the virus swept through her family after she had relatives from as far as Canada come over on Dec. 27 despite feeling under the weather, news station WPVI reported.

The turkey had it.
'Effing morons.
Whether COVID-19 or just a typical flu season, what would they expect to happen?
I thought it was the stuffing.
Lucky them! Doing their part to reach herd immunity.
If you're "feeling under the weather" with anything, stay home and don't pass it on the others.
Kinda foolish.
I hope her husband pulls through. Needing to be in the hospital is not so great.
My MIL just died from it, in central PA.
But we all had it here in MD, including my mother who is older than MIL and presumably not as good shape, and are all out of it now. No hospital or any such.
LOL-—this story could have been from our Christmas eve. 5 people brought it and we all got it....15 of us! All are well, praise God.....Also, a side note, my daughter who had it in March walked away with not getting it. So much for the “Covid for life” narrative.
How did the Canadians get through?
I thought the border was and is closed?
Well, getting together with the sick will result in some disease being spread.
So? Far more people had gatherings and didn’t get covid.
If this situation really happened and isn’t made up.
Or to thin the herd.
I know people who got covid because someone at the job showed up for
work even though that person
was not feeling well, and later
tested positive for covid.
Don’t go around people if you
are feeling off, even a headache
or just a sore throat can be a
sign of covid.
Sorry about your misfortune. It seems like it hits some people worse than others.
They were probably U.S. citizens who can’t be kept from entering the country even during a lockdown.
My wife is from a midwest state and a small town.
She got a late Christmas card from a former classmate apologizing for the late card. The classmate and close to 2 dozen of her family members had CV19.
My wife checked with some other relatives still near that town.
Turned out about 30+ relatives of the former class mate came from all over and spent close to a week in a small home. They slept on floors or several to a bed. It was cold and the old heating system basically never went off.
Per Fedzilla in November...
Does this apply to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents?
This order does not apply to individual persons who should be excepted based on considerations of law enforcement, officer and public safety, humanitarian, or public health interests.
How did those folks get an exception...?
Seems like that should go without saying. But I believe that some people with symptoms think if they wear a mask they won’t spread any virus they might have. So they engage in risky behavior because of all the mask hoopla.
