Thousands of US flags have been placed at the National Mall in honor of the nearly 200,000 Americans who were not able to be present for the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
The display, which is called the 'Field of Flags,' is comprised of 191,500 US flags and 56 pillars of light. Images taken on Monday showed the flags carefully placed in rows near the US Capitol.
The flags are representative of the Americans who cannot travel to Washington, DC, to attend the inauguration in person due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It strikes me as being really pathetic.
They didn’t want the optics of an empty field.
So how much did this cost? Where were the flags made? This is getting downright silly.

I wonder if the Biden Inaugural Committee paid the workers $15.00 an hour to put those flags up or if tax payers paid government WG workers to do it?

What are the tents for? To trick viewers into thinking this is a festive event with people and vendors to feed them?
They had to put flags there because they wouldn’t be able to get that many people there.
So that’s why they brought in the National Guard, to place the flags because no one is going to the inauguration on the 20th
