Attorney General William Barr reportedly warned President Donald Trump that his legal team was lying to him about the election being stolen and that some of their theories were “bulls***.”
Barr made the remarks during a December 1 meeting with the president and other top aides in the White House, according to left-leaning Axios, which has been highly critical of the administration. The meeting reportedly took place because Trump was angry that Barr gave an interview to the Associated Press that contradicted what Trump’s legal team had been claiming publicly.
In the AP interview, Barr said that federal investigators had been looking into allegations of voter fraud but noted that they had “not seen fraud on a scale that could have effected a different outcome in the election.”

I have evidence that every major press outlet has disavowed all their coverage of Dominion and stated clearly that there was no fraud. That includes Lou Dobbs, one of the biggest liars going. They know they published or stated lies and they have retracted the lies, and the press outlets have named the so-called journalists who lied so that the liability will be severable from the publications. This is not over for the Andrea Widburgs of the world. You can’t libel a firm and expect them to do nothing.
Insane ramblings. If your grandma started spouting that you’d put her in a home.

Agreed, he may have been naive as to the ways of DC, probably thinking the people he was dealing with actually had the best interests of the country at heart.
No disrespect meant to you, Sir_Humphrey... but the statistical anomalies alone prove that the the results were not just improbable, but impossible by numbers in many cases in the trillion to one range.
The reason that the “legal team” was not successful had nothing to do with the evidence; it was because they were shut out at every avenue... fraud has easily been proven but it was never allowed to be presented in a federal court and because of the media and big tech's efforts even in the court of public opinion.
Look what happened when President Trump laid out some of the evidence on January 6. An organized group od Antifa broke into the House of Representatives before he had finished his speech and stole the news cycle. Sir_Humphrey you did take the time to at least read the transcript of President Trump's full speech didn't you? Our elections are now the laughing stock of the world.
Barr's actions on this along with a pattern of prior behavior stymieing investigations of wrong doing by the swamp make his motives suspect.
Out of curiosity what are you doing here defending the Swmp Creature Barr? A quick look back shows what were you up to immediately before the important election held in 2016 where Donald Trump was elected President? Were you working hard to ensure the Donald Trump was elected... or were you ignoring the frightful happenings by posting threads about how much Bob Dylan deserved to get the Nobel Prize for Literature?

Bob Dylan has won the Nobel Prize for Literature “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition,” the Swedish Academy said on Thursday in awarding the 8 million Swedish crown ($927,740) prize.

And then on the 26th of October 2016 you were questioning evidence from Lou Dobbs and others that voting machines across the country were changing votes from President Trump to Hillary Clinton.

Dozens of people replied to you in that thread but you made no attempt to answer any of them.
These two threads from 2016 show where your mind was at then... you didn't believe evidence of voter fraud and you loved Dylan. What has changed since? What you post here on Free Republic is archived by who knows how many entities... it does not go away. You have been around here for a long time. You have a long history. Everyone can look it up. No disrespect meant Sir_Humphrey but what is your deal here?
DOJ bump for later.....
Barr believed the deep state in the FBI/DOJ and based on their history with Russiagate and more Barr really had no rational basis to be trusting the word of the FBI/DOJ.
Barr needed advice from OUTSIDE the FBI/DOJ.
Hey barr, I can see you lies through my parabolic eyes
In the U.S., election fraud is nearly a perfect crime.
Roughly, there’s less than 90 days to prove it and there are 3 national holidays involved, which include closed courts Many state legislatures are done for the year by election day, unless opened for a special session.
Moreover, there is NO remedy I’m aware of, if fraud is later discovered: the illegal winner is already sworn in and no way to remove him/her until the next election. There is no “swap.”
Imagine what the murder rate in a country would be, if after 90 days, there was no legislature to stop you, no courts would be in session, and no remedy if they learned you were the murderer.
I’m thinkin’ we’d have a lot more murder!
So, get it out -- you believe Trump is delusional about his losing fair and square? And, conservatives like Mark Levin, who has detailed exactly how the election was stolen?
You believe Trump won 18 of 19 bellwether counties that had voted with the winner since 1980 and Florida and Ohio and lost?
You believe there was an 84% voter turnout in Milwaukee but only 51% in Cleveland? That there was a 90% voter turnout in Wisconsin, which was only slightly less than 92% in Australia, which has mandatory voting?
They did prove voter fraud conclusively in Georgia with the State Farm Arena video -- lying about a water line break, clearing out the polling place of all but four employees, putting ballots out under tables and running individual ballots up to five times.
About 1000 people came forward and signed affidavits testifying to voter fraud.
State laws were repeatedly ignored, weakened or inappropriately altered to facilitate fraud via mail-in ballots.
Thank you

Oh never mind it’s all a game any way.
You've obviously never seen the Coffee County videos.
You shred the Trump ballots and print out the new Biden ballots.
Count the new Biden ballots. All accounted for.
hey were all accounted for. As for the machines, well it doesn’t matter. The recount was done using the actual paper ballots and was done 2 or 3 times.
Without signature verification on the mail in ballots.
That's not accurate. Evidence of fraud wasn't presented in federal court because, as the federal court in Georgia correctly concluded, federal courts have no jurisdiction to hear challenges to state elections, other than constitutional challenges. In the federal court in Pennsylvania, the Trump campaign voluntarily dismissed its fraud claims.
The election of Presidential electors are state elections governed by state law, and challenges are heard in state court under procedures established by the state legislatures. Trump and his lawyers never really pursued any fraud claims in state court under those procedures. I've spent hours trying to find one case where a state court refused to hear evidence presented by the Trump campaign or the elector candidates, and I haven't. Usually, the Trump campaign or the electors voluntarily dismissed the case, or didn't file one at all. In Michigan, they filed a premature, improper claim under Michigan law--the court actually did hear the evidence, but determined that it was insufficient. The Michigan court outlined the correct procedure, a quo warranto action under state law, but the campaign never filed one. In Georgia, they filed in state court in December, but then filed an immediate direct action in the Georgia Supreme Court that deprived the state trial court of jurisdiction. After the Georgia Supreme Court correctly dismissed that action, it was too late.
Each disputed state has a process for determining disputes to election results, which is the proper forum for presenting evidence that an election was subverted by voter fraud. Whether through choice or incompetence, Trump's lawyers never actually pursued them. I've come to believe it was by choice.
Barr was 100% right. Trump should have listened to him.
Still, I believe in the rule of law. While everything cited may be true (in fact I know it is) it still doesn't count for squat in a court of law.
