In April 1861, there were 11,000 troops stationed in DC. In 1864 the number was 23,000. Just to put the 25,000 in perspective.
Except Biden isn’t POTUS yet so Trump would have to be the one to call them to duty. I forgot about that.

The political optics of having 25,000 heavily armed troops in our Nation’s Capitol on January 20th only looks great to Chinese and North Korean dictators.

When BLM was burning buildings, looting stores and attacking the police for days in a row over the summer the left and the mayor hated the idea and practically demanded National Guard troops be kicked out of the city when Trump brought them in. Now all of a sudden they want tens of thousands to a virtual inauguration.
That’s 20 times more people than EVER attended a slojo/ho rally!
