I was a member of the NRA for about 10 years until Mr. LaPierre unabashedly supported Sen. Harry Reid. I could not understand why the NRA would support the people who were actively undermining our 2A. I though he must have been corrupt. I am willing to join a bona fide 2A group.

I have zero information on why Texas vs. another state such as West Virginia as you mentioned.

However, I can think of some things that would be factors in the decision. One is the state laws of one jurisdiction vs. another. A second is the number of in state donors how much $$$ per donor and the last is the number of resident members.

The multiple mailings I would get from the NRA, I could just imagine multiplying that by tens of thousands...that would be millions upon millions of dollars in advertising.

I stopped joining when the news came out regarding NRA leadership salaries, perks, million dollar homes and such.

Contrary to your assertion, bankruptcy doesn’t allow the debtor to walk away without restriction and try his luck elsewhere. Especially when (as is the case with NRA) the debtor is under criminal investigation.

Austin has always been a "flower child" city since the 60's. Once you step outside the city limits though, it's mostly hardcore conservative. Go checkout Giddings, TX. It's considered a bedroom community to Austin. If you're not a church-goer, they will hound you until you do.
