Get rid of Wayne.
However, I can think of some things that would be factors in the decision. One is the state laws of one jurisdiction vs. another. A second is the number of in state donors how much $$$ per donor and the last is the number of resident members.
We see that the conspiracy theory folks showed up in the thread. It’s the beginning of the end for that trend in conservative circles. Watch the following for some huge laughs. ;D

>>Perhaps they should cut down on their fundraising postal budget.<<
The multiple mailings I would get from the NRA, I could just imagine multiplying that by tens of thousands...that would be millions upon millions of dollars in advertising.
I stopped joining when the news came out regarding NRA leadership salaries, perks, million dollar homes and such.
I’m thinking the NRA lost it’s direction.
Okay, OLLD! I guess you have more experience filing for bankruptcy. I’ll defer to you.
Does anyone know where they are moving to in Texas?
Hopefully not Austin.
You claim knowledge about bankruptcy which is patently false but was said with remarkable assurance.. I apologize for attributing that blustery confidence to your scrambled personal experience.
Contrary to your assertion, bankruptcy doesn’t allow the debtor to walk away without restriction and try his luck elsewhere. Especially when (as is the case with NRA) the debtor is under criminal investigation.

Once again, you have lied, because that is not at all what I said. The fact is, what I originally said, was indeed true, so go troll somewhere else with your nonsense!
You, quite obviously, have no knowledge whatsoever, of the subject.
There's the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Gun Owners of America (GOA).
I also recommend taking a look at Project Appleseed, a non-partisan group of men and women (known as the Revolutionary War Veterans Association) who are committed to upholding the values and principles of America’s founding fathers. They use rifle marksmanship instruction as a gateway to help bring our nation’s history to life and to show that many of the values that our forefathers relied on to win our independence are still very much in demand today.
If they would spend their money wisely, instead of allowing Lapierre an unlimited checkobok to spend whatever he wants with whoever he wants, it would ave millions.
Austin has always been a "flower child" city since the 60's. Once you step outside the city limits though, it's mostly hardcore conservative. Go checkout Giddings, TX. It's considered a bedroom community to Austin. If you're not a church-goer, they will hound you until you do.
Here’s what you said. You might find it appealing but it’s false. Not a lie...but false:
A company or organization can’t evade state liability by switching legal domicile.
but they can, by filing bankruptcy and starting over.
During the Obama years the area where I live was flooded with bummy looking wiseazz Mexicans.
That ended with Trump.
I can imagine what Texas will be like.
Democrat reinforcements.
The first HQ of the NRA and its target and competition ranges were in Queens County NY. The location later became the site of the Creedmor State Mental Hospital. Two major thoroughfares in the area bear the names Springfield and Winchester Boulevards. If DeBlasio knew that he’d likely try to change them.
