We received a lengthy letter from Dominion's defamation lawyers explaining why they believe that their client has been the victim of defamatory statements. Having considered the full import of the letter, we have agreed to their request that we publish the following statement: American Thinker and contributors Andrea Widburg, R.D. Wedge, Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on www.AmericanThinker.com that falsely accuse US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation (collectively “Dominion”) of conspiring to steal the November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion’s supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion’s machines that resulted in massive vote switching or weighted votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that Dominion acted fraudulently. These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims. It was wrong for us to publish these false statements. We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning 9 journalistic principles and misrepresenting Dominion’s track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.

The affidavit is a confirmation by an Italian lawyer, as an officer of the court, of the testimony related on the document that he heard in court. Testimony in court is under penalty of perjury, even in Italy. So yes, it’s clumsy, and not American jurisprudence, but there is still no testimony under oath that counters the alleged vote flipping in Italy of an American election, as testified to in court.

There’s a separate thread here where people are asking what happened to Powell and Wood. It looks like they went silent.
If those machines are continued to be put into use in our elections we have a breaking point.
We’re not allowed to see the software, it’s proprietary! That is the same as being told “you’re not allowed to see how the votes are counted”.
This system has so many security attack vectors it is absolutely unacceptable for it to continue to be used.

The claim..... that protesters are a threat to ‘our’ democracy, a threat to ‘our’ founders and a
threat to ‘our’ principles, ‘our’ history, ‘our’ elections and ‘our’ sacred capitol.......is laughable.
These Democrap comrades marching in lockstep are as transparent as a bay window.
What they’re talking about is THEIR private Elective Club.
It’s all about Their Interests. Their power. Their safety and security.

First, this is a tragedy of ginormous proportions. I am sorry.
Second, few things in life are as draining as injustice. I don't think people have truly thought through the ramifications of THAT component in this saga. Losing to Obama twice was bad, but we kinda knew our guys were pantywaists. And there was always hope for tomorrow.
Four years of MAGA gave us hope. This loss* has produced lots of "why should I bother anymore?" sentiments. And while American Thinker is a case study is sloppy editing and poor fact-checking, I never thought they were playing fast and loose. Their "retraction" only adds to the "why bother" pyre.
Your post really crystallized this dimension of where we stand today. Thank you and all I can do is keep your folks in our prayers.
I’m not sure they went silent as much as they, like the POTUS, have been muzzled.
Just like the so called “insurrection” on capital that congress knew about at least the day before and started even before TRUMP had finished his address to his followers over a mile away - this site too has been infiltrated with the enemy...not a new tactic but it has been expanded to attempt to cause division, diversion and perhaps to be the beginning of the end of this sites purpose and presents on the web...but I can and sense the changes in the conversations and various continuing...unfailing, unrelenting, unraveling negative posts to no end! Disagreement is good for discussion but for a common and eventual purpose in the end...hopefully. JMHO

BTW - was it just rumor then that good ole reliable Dominion closed all it’s offices and cut and run and all those strange connections back to high player libs / dems and china owning some interest in the background doesn’t really exists? Those fats weren’t facts just all lies?
