We received a lengthy letter from Dominion's defamation lawyers explaining why they believe that their client has been the victim of defamatory statements. Having considered the full import of the letter, we have agreed to their request that we publish the following statement: American Thinker and contributors Andrea Widburg, R.D. Wedge, Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on www.AmericanThinker.com that falsely accuse US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation (collectively “Dominion”) of conspiring to steal the November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion’s supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion’s machines that resulted in massive vote switching or weighted votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that Dominion acted fraudulently. These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims. It was wrong for us to publish these false statements. We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning 9 journalistic principles and misrepresenting Dominion’s track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.

Translation: they don’t have the money to fight Dominion’s lawyers who are paid for by Soros.
People have said a million times that a defamation suit would be great because Discovery would absolutely destroy these guys.
But not if you wimp out.
Caved, bullied by thugs with law degrees.
Now that the public apology is out of the way, the Biden admin will vaporize them in a few months, even thought there is plausible evidence that Dominion Systems were compromised and need to be fully investigated.

It’s not libel if you’re repeating accusations from lawyers pressing charges.
Yeah... I am assuming that you are being sarcastic... Either that or you are completely oblivious to the underlying message. If the other side has the most resources they will file endless lawsuits until you run out of money trying to defend yourself, or American judicial system which has become a crap shoot will award the criminals damagaes.
Admit or die. Sounds like tremendous pressure involved.
That’s a hilarious statement. If they were showing the statement being read in the video, you could see the captive blinking their eyelids in Morse code style to say, “we’re just saying this BS to stay in business.” No one here believes the people we read and post articles from did any lying.
Removing comments, groveling to their Democrat masters. Why didn’t they just shutdown? Would have saved their integrity. Anything on this site is now suspect in my opinion.
I fully expect them to soon post stories about how wonderful Democrats are and why we should all atone for our sins and blindness. I am removing them from my sites for editorials list.
Anyone who has looked at this whole election charade with an ounce of common sense would have seen that these particular charges were phony, and had no basis in fact. It was obvious to me that the nitwits peddling this nonsense didn't have a clue how ballots were cast and counted in 95% or more of the U.S.
The Dominion machines worked fine. That was part of the plan. They didn't need to rig any machines because this was all just a ballot-stuffing exercise and they just needed the machines to count the ballots (including hundreds of thousands of potentially fraudulent ones) correctly.
"Release the Kraken?" LOL. Release the crack in my @ss, more likely.
Your take on it makes the most sense. American Thinker has to swallow their pride somewhat, but most of us have already formed our own opinions about Dominion Voting Machines.
This little Mea Culpa won’t change a lot.
