Wyoming GOP Blasts Liz Cheney for 'Aligning Herself with Leftists'

It seems Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has ticked off Republicans in her state. The at-large representative voted with Democrats to impeach President Trump following last week's riot at the Capitol.

The FBI is only beginning its investigation of last week's riot, but the lack of findings didn't stop Liz Cheney from joining House Democrats to hold the president responsible for the violence.

Following Cheney's vote to impeach the president, the Wyoming Republican Party said in a statement that never before has the state party seen "this type of an outcry from our fellow Republicans." According to the party, "the anger and frustration" is "palpable in the comments" they have received.

"Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time. The consensus is clear that those who are reaching out to the Party vehemently disagree with Representative Cheney’s decision and actions," the statement reads.

The party said they believe it's important for elected officials to respect and represent their constituents and called Cheney's vote to impeach Trump a "true travesty for Wyoming and the country."

In an effort to share just some of the overwhelming feedback with Cheney, the party summarized some of the comments they received from angry Republicans in the state: Cheney denied President Trump due process, she judged "evidence" before it was presented and available, she ignored 70 percent of Wyoming voters who voted to re-elect Trump, and put the interests of beltway conservatives ahead of her constituents.

Cheney ignored Trump's comments asking his supporters to protest "peacefully," she sided with Democrats who egged on leftists rioters for months last year, aligned herself with leftists skewing facts about the Capitol riot, allowed herself to be used by Democrats to smear the entire conservative movement, and allowed another impeachment circus to distract Congress from representing the interests truly important to the people of Wyoming.

Nine other GOP representatives followed Cheney's lead in voting to impeach the president a second time. The lone article of impeachment is not expected to be taken up by the Senate until sometime after Joe Biden's inauguration. It's unlikely enough Republicans in the Senate will join Democrats to achieve the two-thirds majority needed to convict the president, which would render Trump ineligible for a second term.

Congressional Republicans have called on Cheney to step down as House GOP Conference Chair.

[I was not referring to the presidential. I was referring to the mid term primaries to rid them of Cheney.]

They can’t do it. Trump must step in, as he did earlier. He needs to personally campaign against Cheney. He needs to turn her into political bug juice.

Actually, it would probably be better to send surrogates, but he needs to pick a candidate and broker a truce with the disappointed runners-up. You know how, before primaries, party elders would select candidates after a bunch of horse-trading? Trump’s standing with GOP voters means he’s capable of being a one-man smoke-filled room, since in 4 short years, he’s zoomed from random plutocrat to not only party elder, but the only one that matters.

What he needs is to get a shadow cabinet together to figure out which candidates are simultaneously Trumpworthy and electable. And then give them the political backing they need to primary the GOP Judases who voted to impeach.

Convince her to come back to WY next summer for Cheyenne Frontier Days and strap her to the back of a bull.

However, she is an “At-Large” delegate. Meaning she represents the entire state, which only has one congressional district.

So while the Jackson Hole and Teton Mountain country clubbers are just fine with her, she still has to face the Walmart shoppers of Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, et al.

We must remember that in 2022 and vote these traitors out.

Assuming, of course, that you will be able to.

The amount of primary challenges is going to be awesome in 2022. I can’ hardly wait for it.

Problem is with the fraud machine never challenged, all the Dems need to do is find an equal absentee ballot scam, as he probability of a pandemic cover wont be there.

Doesn’t matter who opposes her if the machine can manufacture the votes......

The dems will help to save her after all an ally with an R cloak on is as good as a D. Think Romney....

She is gone. She committed political suicide. I think a good litmus test should be for any GOP candidate for sometime is “Would you have voted to impeach or remove the President”. I was very disappointed with some local politicians but they are playing a game. It may keep them elected but it will cost them their souls. This is a dark time in this nation and I don’t see it getting better. What is going on now is preemptive suppression. They are trying to scare all 74 million Trump supporters into submission. They don’t realize how badly that will not work.

Re the 73,491 voters for Biden. They were covertly registered Biden Buffalos whose hoof prints were replaced by human signatures. /sarc

Next time, more BBQ’s before an election.

Did voters in Wyoming (which Trump carried in a landslide) have any indication Cheney would turn against him as she did?

They should have as the Cheneys are RINOs.

That means voting for someone besides Liz Cheney in Wyoming. Who’s the candidate? Find him or her and start writing checks and volunteering. Voting is not just what you do on election day.

There ought to be a federal law outlawing out-of-state donors in local races, but right now there isn’t. So if holly-weirdos can mix in, so can we.

-- So y'all going to kick her out of the party? --

That they don't is a tell that the party lacks standards, and is morally defective.

Liz doesn’t give a hoot about what the WY GOP thinks of her. When she sashays her treasonous ass to her financial planner’s office she’ll be laughing all the way.
