A retired firefighter from Pennsylvania is under arrest, accused of being the man seen on video throwing a fire extinguisher that hit three police officers at the Capitol during the riot in Washington, D.C., last week.
Robert Sanford, 55, of Chester, was arrested Thursday morning on four federal charges, including knowingly entering a restricted building, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, civil disorder and assaulting officers engaging in their official duties.

Did he throw it from a tank?
It was a “siege” you know.
Kommie jerk off.
cut his hands off.../S
Dogpile, comin’ up.
People who hollered about defunding the cops all summer long are suddenly going to act as though they are so very saddened by the death of this officer. Yes. It was tragic, and never should have happened, but the level of ‘grief’ seems sort of manufactured for effect.
If Robert Sanford is guilty of throwing that fire extinguisher, he made a very bad decision and must be held accountable for his actions.
Sounds like this might not have been the incident related to the death of the officer.
Do we know that the fire extinguisher caused anyone to die?
The assault on the video is separate from the ongoing investigation into the death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who was reportedly struck in the head with a fire extinguisher during the riot.

Nobody says that he was a Trump supporter. A lot of these people look like Black Lives Matter or antifa
Assuming the evidence is legit (which I have not yet reviewed), but wondering... who would do that — throw a 20 lb metal object into a crowd of protesters and LEOs? Impulsive recklessness at best, the intent to kill at worst. Or perhaps the alleged perp was moments earlier beaten unnecessarily and excessively, and then lashed out in response.
I thought the family contradicted the fire extinguisher angle.
Just assuming, he’s from Chester. Not a Republican strong hold - even worse than Philadelphia (I think). He was a fireman - so belonged to a union. Probably never had a job in the private sector. And, well he threw the fire extinguisher. Clear as day.
I saw the video. He threw it into a crowd of officers. It looked like they were all wearing helmets except for the officer who died.
That is interesting. Guess we more evidence about Sicknick.
The Left loves the police now?
LMAO, as if...
So... why don’t we know the names of the Patriots killed outside of the Capital yet?
In my experience, 90% of firefighters are extream nerds, 5% are community minded good guys, and 5% are arsonists.
Martha Raddatz is doing a pretty good job of fanning the flames with that report.
B!tch!
Based on the article, I question whether there were more instances of fire extinguishers being thrown.
