House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) on Wednesday rejected calls to resign from her leadership post — prompted by her support for impeaching President Donald Trump over last week’s riots at the U.S. Capitol.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Cheney told Politico reporter Melanie Zanona. “This is a vote of conscience. It’s one where there are different views in our conference.”

Amen!!! I’ve been screaming at the top of my keyboard on FR since November. Last month I walked away from the GOP (had been registered since ‘88). They are a dead party walking to me now.

We can’t remove her right now, but the GOP House can. Everyone should write your rep and tell them to remove her from the House GOP leadership. I can’t because the bitch is my rep and we only have one. It is like talking to a wall to send anything to her.

Go and re-register and change your party affiliation. Not sure if its the same in every state but I’m sure it’s probably very similar. Good luck!

It almost seems it is some sort of right-of-inheritance that when some congressman dies, the spouse automatically assumes their role. The founders forbid aristocratic titles, but it seems we seem to be gravitating back to an hereditary ruling class.

Do a search - I did, took me right to secure online FL voter registration. FL link is above at #51. I confirmed info, entered my drivers license # & other info, and I’m out.
I will call to tell local, state, and national party, as well. I’d already told them each time asked I wasn’t donating & why.
