House Republican Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) on Wednesday rejected calls to resign from her leadership post — prompted by her support for impeaching President Donald Trump over last week’s riots at the U.S. Capitol.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Cheney told Politico reporter Melanie Zanona. “This is a vote of conscience. It’s one where there are different views in our conference.”

I respect her position as no doubt she is PO, however, impeachment is not the way to go. All it is doing is allowing the Rats to gain political advantage and split the GOP. Nothing more.

She can’t be recalled by her constituents. Her Wyoming district is stuck with her for a while — until they can primary her. There’s no recall option. She can be expelled by the House by 2/3 members present and voting.

National Review (have it on good authority it was once a conservative publication) said it best, describing her as “the impressive Liz Cheney.” Just a chip off the old Dick. We know what a fine job he did; guess she’s looking for a new, endless war to consume more lives and treasure.
If she is the GOP nominee in 2024, I will stay home..if the GOP wants to commit mass suicide by bringing back the Bush BS, fine, they should prepare for their own destruction

I will NEVER vote for another “Republican” again. If that means risking another backstabbing asshat to be elected, so what? There is no difference between one half of the UniParty or the other anyway.
Of course, that is assuming that there will ever be another “election” in this country. That is something that I have strong doubts over.

I can understand the GOP reps from left leaning areas like WA and IL but WY is solid red. Cheney just wants the Old Bush Republican order to remain in charge of the GOP. She needs to be primaried. We need a solid conservative in this seat.
Liz should remember that her father left office with a 13% approval rate, and designated “one of the most reviled” of politicians.
Does she think the Republicans took him down? She is a clown.
