Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) called on President Trump to concede his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, saying he should "quit misleading" the American people.
“It’s past time for the president to accept the results of the election, quit misleading the American people, and repudiate mob violence,” Cotton said in a statement Wednesday evening.
“And the senators and representatives who fanned the flames by encouraging the president and leading their supporters to believe that their objections could reverse the election results should withdraw those objections,” he continued.
The remarks from Cotton, a key Trump ally, came hours after a mob of Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol building around 2 p.m., prompting lawmakers to evacuate and suspend their tally of the Electoral College votes certifying Biden's victory.

I thought he was a good one. Pathetic.

Liberals instigated violence at Trump’s rallies in 2015 and 2016 to make conservatives look bad.
The same thing is happening here. And it was done to justify systematic oppression of conservatives by Biden-Harris AND scare Republicans into rolling over on the Electoral College vote that was going on.
The Tea Party didn’t work either.
So did it happen yet?
The checks are flying fast and furious...
Bannon told me in 2017 he was not to be trusted.
I was never a big fan of Bannon but it seem to me now he really should have stayed. We know he cares about policy, better to have him at Trump’s ear than Jarvanka.
Cotton is possibly the greatest political disappointment in recent years in my opinion. I was stunned to read of his unsettling disregard of the truth and his obvious disregard of the blatant theft of a Presidential Election.
Hmmm. Interesting point. You may be right, looking back in hindsight.
I think it's kinda weird how a lot of FReepers seem to have hard-ons for any of all of Trump's offspring lately, suggesting them for any and all public offices. For example, yesterday some FReepers were swooning over the thought of Donald Trump Jr. "moving to Georgia and running against Kemp for Governor".
Apparently he's become the new John Thune to them ("he's handsome and speaks well")
I wouldn’t discount Don Jr. but I can’t imagine what he could run for. No ties to GA. Not ready for the big chair. This is a country where W. Bush won and wasn’t especially handsome or well spoken. JFK Jr could have 100% been a Senator and probably a rat Pres nominee. Whether Don Jr. is smart enough is another matter.
Ivanka is a lib and Jared as well, despite some nice foreign policy stuff he sucks at strategy and domestic issues.
I think I might have been way wrong on Bannon.
