More than 70 percent of COVID-19 vaccines are still sitting in freezers in the US — as the country’s disastrous rollout has forced desperate Florida senior citizens to camp out overnight for their shot.
Hundreds braved chilly 40-degree temperatures and slept in their cars overnight in Daytona Beach in the mad rush for inoculations, NBC Miami reported.

MY Post is no different than CNN these days.
It seems as though the (Democrat) states were surprised by the shipments.
If they attached stimulus/cares/PPP/etc $$$ to each inoculation, just like how hospitals got money for each covid death certificate, you can bet every last vile would get uses ASAP. They’d roll out the red carpet and serve comp’d cocktails for those who were queuing for it, and they’d be clammoring at the federal government for not getting more distributed.
This is crazy talk. I saw no such pandemonium out and about today in my neck of FL.
More like the can’t afford to have the populace vaccinated too soon, as that would require the governors to open up their respective states (although I’m certain they could come up with other reasons why they would need to remain shut down post-vaccine).
This is Florida though.
I don’t understand why this is so difficult.
Vaccine distribution is A MAIN GOVERNMENT FUNCTION and the states are falling down on the job.
Does not the CDC coordinate this?

No credit to Trump for helping to facilitate the development
of vaccines for use.
Now when it comes for bad news, they’ll dump that at his
feet without so much as a twinge of guilt.
We’re in the first week of January, and these dolts are
hawking the idea that unless everyone has been vaccinated
already, it’s a massive Trump fiasco.
I hope there is a special place in hell for people like
these people.
The Feds put out the plan in October.
Clearly, the States did not read it. Democrats think we need a federal agency in charge of all this. We need someone in DC to hire someone in a state to do what the should already be doing.
Because that makes sense.

Why was this not given to the Pharmacies to handle like flu shots?
My wife works for a health system. One state in New England is just now looking for a hospital in one of their largest cities to distribute the shot when they go “public.”. The largest hospital turned them down because there was no profit in it.
Another— not for profit—hospital stepped up. It’s funny how the world turns. But, it takes a bunch of manpower to do this stuff. Someone has to pay the nurse giving out shots for weeks on end.
What party is the governor of Florida again?

Which is the only reason for this hand-wringing sob story. It HAD to be a Republican state.
The deep state dems won’t work it. Just use the Florida National Guard.
The vaccine will all be administered in a week.
