President Trump sues Georgia’s Brad Raffensperger
American Thinker ^ | Andrea Widburg

Posted on 01/04/2021 4:27:24 AM PST by RoosterRedux

President Trump called Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, to try to get the latter to stop obstructing the fraud investigation in Georgia. Instead, after whining about the almost seven hours he’s spent on the issue, Raffensperger refused to engage in an investigation and then leaked the call to the Washington Post, which promptly misrepresented its contents. Trump has now sued Raffensperger in both state and federal court for secretly recording and then disseminating a confidential settlement discussion.

There’s something wrong with Brad Raffensperger. I don’t know what it is – that is, whether he’s generically corrupt or has a serious personality disorder – but it’s not normal for a Secretary of State to behave as he has when faced with the biggest election fraud claim in American history. If Raffensperger really believed there was no fraud, he would be going out of his way to make every bit of information available to President Trump’s team to prove his point

Instead, Raffensperger is putting up every barrier possible. This is a man who is desperate to hide from the world what happened in Georgia on and after the election. If the consciousness of guilt alone were proof of election fraud, Raffensperger would be Exhibit A in a slam-dunk case.

But it doesn’t stop there. When President Trump called Raffensperger to see if he could cajole this lazy, arrogant, entitled man into at least working a little bit on the fraud matter, instead of reflexively resisting every fraud assertion, Raffensperger decided to play dirty. He recorded the call and then released it to the Washington Post which did its usual black magic on anything connected with the President.

at this point its pretty obvious we’ve had a foreign coup disguised as a US Presidential election

it was “beautifully” and precisely timed. In fact it is about the ONLY POSSIBLE way to have taken down the USA

The coup is far from over. Winning the Presidential election is only one step in a long, complicated strategy (they have been laying the groundwork for years).

One has to wonder what China's next step is...and what are their contingency plans if the election plot fails and Biden doesn't move into the WH.

Secretly recording conversation and sharing them with a 3rd party is illegal. With that being said, the courts will rule that President Trump has no standing.

Democrats must receive offers of pure death

Has anyone presented a shred of evidence to support the claim that this Raffensperger dude leaked the recording to the media?

Freepers who have listened to it have suggested that it sounds like it was recorded from Trump’s end, not the Georgia end.

There is a note about recording someone who is NOT in Georgia. So you have to dig a little further. Do we know where the President was calling from? I assume DC.

“Secretly recording conversation and sharing them with a 3rd party is illegal.”

Not in Georgia. We are a one party state. Meaning that only one party has to be aware a recording is being done.

However, I think the point the President is making is the release of confidentiality protect settlement discussions.

I would like to see our SOS release the recorded conversations he had with the Democrats in March that changed our election laws.

Thanks for taking the time to do research.

We need a win in the courts.

Now to get a judge who will actually uphold the law..

I’m not counting on any courts at this point for timeliness—or justice. Unfortunately.

Where are the “Trump judges” when we need them?

There never were any “Trump judges”. Loads of McConnell/Federalist Society judges (and USSC Justices), however.

I’m thinking that he should nave nominated conservatives from state Supreme Courts, but many of those have also been unreliable.

I have seen people claim it sounds like it was recorded on Trump’s end.
We used to have call-quality like that after digital, and before cell-phone. It’s got the background reverb which is the artifact of either the phone, or the recording device.
