In a “legitimate” world, Joe Biden would be first in line to have a comprehensive review of the presidential election. There are more than just a few of us who are, shall we say, “skeptical” of the results. Wouldn't a true patriot wish to allay all concerns about the legitimacy? Had the roles been reversed, all you would be hearing is the need “transparency”, and “integrity of the process”. Democrats, of course, could care less about your concerns or mine. They would sooner send conservatives to a re-education camp than initiate a probe into the election of 2020.

What resources and power does it have?

They, and probably a majority of long-term office holders and bureaucrats don't seem to want a system like the one we were brought up to believe in. The whole concept of ‘any kid in America’ can grow up to be President is not what they support. They are the noblemen and gentry, and they don't want what they perceive as the underclasses challenging their positions and decisions.
