Democrats are outraged that Republicans are planning on objecting to the certification of electoral votes. It’s “conspiracy and fantasy,” says Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
“The effort by the sitting President of the United States to overturn the results is patently undemocratic,” the New York Democrat said. “The effort by others to amplify and burnish his ludicrous claims of fraud is equally revolting.”
“This is America. We have elections. We have results. We make arguments based on the fact and reason—not conspiracy and fantasy,” he added.
There’s only one problem with Chucky’s “argument based on fact and reason.” Democrats have been challenging the electoral vote certification for 2 decades.

Wow! THAT is telling.
So, objecting to the electoral vote count is considered a VERY American thing to do. Even Americans in name only hold this strategy in high regard.
We now know the rules of engagement. Whoever has the cojones made of the most brass stands the best chance of winning.

Schumer has been on all sides of most issues depending on the circumstances. He is not to be believed.

I’m feeling like I’m living in history. I got to actually see a Democrat Senator stand up and lie at the levels of a Hitler or a Stalin or an Ayatollah or any banana republic dictator. And in justification for the most blatant and obvious crimes.

and that is the salient point to be taken here; the dems were rapidly and rightly rebufed in their efforts, as anyone will be trying this tactic in the future...
And we see how effective it has been... So, why are we even t it as a possible way to stop the Steal?
Well if so, it isn’t good news for 2021. If their objections in the past failed to stop a Republican President, what reasons do we have to believe it will be different this time if Republicans object?
That is what I was thinking.
God can do anything but if Trump pulls this off it will be the biggest miracle since the raising of Lazarus.

For example this article fails to say who objected in 2000 and 2016.
Everyone here is deliberately misunderstanding what Schumer is saying. Trying to overturn an election stolen by democrats is by its very nature ‘undemocratic’. Trying to stop an elected Republican from taking office is completely ‘democratic’.

Has any court, state or federal, even allowed the introduction of evidence that the election was, in fact, stolen? Or have all the cases involved been dismissed on procedural grounds. Has Trump actually gotten his day in court?
So far the answer from the courts is “ It all lies with the state legislators. If the are ok with a corrupt process then so are we.”
In a way I can see the courts point. They (the legislatures) spinelessly ceded their constitutional responsibility for picking the electors to the public. They then double spinelessly refused to guarantee a honest process. Then triple spinelessly with a “race card cower” refused to do anything about the decades of corrupt electoral practices in the urban centers. So here we are !
