New York City has surpassed more than 25,000 deaths linked to the coronavirus, officials announced Monday.
The city Health Department reports that 25,008 deaths were confirmed or likely cases of COVID-19.
The breakdown includes 20,214 confirmed deaths from the virus and 4,794 probable deaths.
“It’s incredibly painful. These are people who were part of our families, part of communities,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said during his Tuesday press briefing.
“It’s shocking still.”

According to the demonKKKrats, just like Planned Parenthood Murder Factory, CCP Wuhan Red Chinese Virus just provides more parking spaces.
Just think...ivermectin probably could have saved half.
Is it true that flu deaths have almost vanished this fall and early winter?
RIP to the 25K.
Shame what has transpired. The world should be crushing China for releasing this virus but I guess everyone would rather blame Trump.
In Upstate NY, anyway, yes.
Or Hydroxychloroquine.
Divide that by three; two-thirds of them died WITH COPID-19 but not OF COPID-19.
What does "linked" actually mean?
I heard there was a baby boom. Is there one in NYC and is that not evidence of not maintaining social distancing?
"more than 25,000 deaths linked to the coronavirus"
Means: "The person that died probably knew someone who knew someone that had Covid. Or had sniffles, or a cough. Nevermind that they were 90 years old and were hit by a bus or had a stroke."
Who caused them?
Flu cases ‘drop’ 95% compared to last year. Are patients being misdiagnosed as having COVID-19? (10.19.20)
Can’t recall the article that I saw on FR a couple of weeks ago, but a researcher pointed out that there was appreciable difference in the number of deaths between the years 2018 and 2020. The only appreciable difference was that there were far fewer deaths from Cancer, flu, pneumonia, heart disease, kidney failure, cirrhosis of the liver, etc. The number of COVID deaths made up the balance to bring the number on par with previous years.
Not really. Flu peaks happen at different times different years. Flu peak was very early in the 2019-2020 season. More often, seasonal flu will peak in January or February. Sometimes it’ll happen as late as March.
Flu season has been light so far this year with a bit over 700 positive cases. That’s not unheard of. We’re within the range of “normal” for flu thus far. If we get into March without much activity, that’s a good time to really start digging into why.
NYC has less than 4 times the population of Houston but almost 10 times the Covid deaths. But lets all praise and emulate Cuomo instead of Abbott.
In 2017, 105,380 abortions were provided in New York

This is a much larger more grim “milestone” than 25,000. The majority of who were elderly and a majority of whom might have been saved if Cuomo didn’t seed the nursing homes with Covid patients.
Yes, I just looked at the CDC influenza page “Seasonal influenza activity in the United States remains lower than usual for this time of year.” The entire country is some shade of green, no red or yellow.

The guv cuomo there is doing such a “wonderful” job with this. That is...if his goal was to murder innocent elderly people.
Maybe this will qualify the guv and/or mayor for an Oscar.
