t the time of this writing, COVID-19 is the leading cause of death in the United States. There is ample reason to hope that the vaccines now beginning to arrive will soon knock the coronavirus off that morbid perch.
Nothing will bring back the loved ones we’ve lost to the pandemic, but at least we’ll be worrying about our old familiar foes — heart disease, for example, and cancer.
And guns.
Gun violence remains one of the more potent threats to U.S. public health. Firearms play a role in most of the murders committed in the United States each year, and in more than half the suicides. More people die from gun violence than from traffic accidents.
Unlike the pandemic, the scourge of gun violence will not yield to a vaccine — and if a vaccine were available, some people would refuse to take it. This points to one of the similarities between COVID-19 and the proliferation of guns: In the face of both threats, some Americans are unaccountably averse to health measures that would provide them a measure of protection.

Given which party runs the cities where this gun violence is so bad, the vaccine would be to vote the democrats out.
What they don’t have in common...the Constitution.
Gun violence by thugs, not by millions of law-abiding gun owners. The Star Tribune can tell us how Democrats let their city burn with no response and how their city council mantra of defund police is working out. Crime is rampant. Stay out of Minneapolis - it’s no longer safe.
Guns are a tool for self defense for anyone who wants to own them.
Covid is a tool for control by only the Leftist, Globalist, Fascist, Socialist Deep Staters to use against the rest of us.
When the first sentence is a lie it’s pretty much not worth reading any further.
So how are they counting the COVID deaths?
The leading cause of death statement?
The left are responsible for far more deaths than a piece of inanimate hardware.
They should just make a law making murder illegal. If they want to be even more specific they can make murder using a firearm extra illegal. By the left’s way of thinking that will solve everything.
Or does it just appear that way because every death possible is being characterized as a COVID-19 related death in order to feed the leftist/globalist "Pandemic Agenda"?

Leftist publications always fail to report the truth. Especially when it comes to minority violence in Democrat Party run cities. That’s where the bulk of all crime is committed.
Not far off I see private automobile ownership a target as well, using the same arguments.
Mass transit will be our future.
And I thought knives were the highest number murder reopen used.

Oh good, someone is finally addressing the black on black 7,000 annual murder rate in this country....oh wait....wrong universe again.
The lack of a nuclear family does not lead to death. Or, if it does, the paper considers the resulting death count to be acceptable.
And, if the federal government offered a bounty for each drug abuse death, or every death resulting from the lack of a nuclear family, I expect that the reported death count from those causes would increase as well.
Or maybe I am just too skeptical.
