Hice to Newsmax TV: McConnell Should Tell Senators to 'Get on Board' With Election Challenge

... At least one member of the Senate and one from the House must object to a set of electors before debate can take place.

Hice said each state will be called alphabetically, and when a state, such as Arizona, where a challenge is planned, comes up, the House and Senate would each then dismiss to their respective chambers for two hours of debate, where Republicans would then make their case. After that, votes would be taken by state delegation, not member-by-member, and if enough votes were were cast to overturn the election results, then an alternate slate of electors would be accepted and Trump would be awarded the state instead of Democrat Joe Biden. ...

Understanding the process: We win the "by delegation vote" following the Elector challenge by each State in the House. Is it by majority in the Senate? What happens when the House and Senate split?

As I understand it, VP Pence can challenge the slate of certified electors from a state like PA, and a Senator can then second that. Which then triggers a general debate — which only succeeds if a Majority in the Senate (which we might get) AND ALSO a Majority in the House (which we won’t get) agrees to reject the slate of certified electors from that state.

It’s very uphill.

You assume that Republicans will vote for Trump in all the various states

I have no faith that will happen

McConnell Should Tell Senators to ‘Get on Board’ With Election Challenge>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That’s right.

Trump supporters in Georgia will otherwise stay home for the Georgia Senatorial run off.

They will NOT turn out and assure that Mitch will have 4 more years of he and his colleagues feeding at the Communist China feeding trough.

Trump supporters would rather see the RINO , anti-populism, wing of the party de-troughed. They will be powned and destoryed by the Dems if they will not support the President.

Trump supporters would rather let McConnell’s crowd self destruct and lose the Senate , and then win back the Senate and Congress, rather than put up with these RINO bitches. The people are with Trump and populism. Millions of Dems will support President Trump, now and/or later in 2024.

Populism is not going away. There are thousands of Republican candidates all over the country who are emulating President Trump. And they are NOT going away.

“a Majority in the House”
Hice says it’s by State delegation in the House

That is the Voting process for the president — and it takes place after a simple majority in the house (the full house) agrees to reject the standard Electoral College process.

According to Hice, not only is a “contingent election” voted on by House State delegation, but so is an electoral vote challenge.

Michigan’s politicians are back stabbing idiots. Do not expect much, that is good and legal, from them.

The whole area seems to be indeterminate, so we will have to wait and see. I don't happen to think Hice is correct. I found an article which says this --

In January 2005, Representative Stephanie Tubbs Jones and Senator Barbara Boxer objected to Ohio’s electoral votes for George W. Bush, alleging “they were not in all known circumstances regularly given.” The House and Senate met separately as required and using a roll call vote the objections were widely rejected. The House denied the objection in 31-267 vote, and the Senate denied it in a 1-74 vote.

That obviously was not done by State Delegations.

if what you write is correct, we will need the entire Senate.
From what I understand, Pence decides when the House and Senate split.
