South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem generated some buzz on social media when she posted a photo of herself holding a flamethrower with a caption asking, "Is it too late to add something to my Christmas list"?
"Noem 2024. She'll torch the competition," quipped one Twitter user.

They are legal.
And they are fun to use.
I use ours in places like the drainage ditches where it is unsafe to to run the mower.
There is a flying one that my husband refuses to get for me even though I promised to only use it to clean stuff off of the electrical wires. For some reason he thinks I will use it for mischief.
It is sad he is so suspicious of sweet and gentle little me.
