So official recognition by an Arab Country of the right of Israel to exist is less important than who owns SAND...really it’s insane...

Doesn’t mean they might not be right in this case. Selling out the autonomy of a recently invaded people for the benefit of Israel is not a good look.

Probably more sand. Are you inferring that the oil that surely lies under the western Sahara makes it worth it? We have plenty of oil here in the world’s number 1 oil-producing nation. Plus mother earth is constantly producing more. On the other hand, Muslim-led nations that are willing to make peace with Israel are scarce as hen’s teeth.

So official recognition by an Arab Country of the right of Israel to exist

Clarify this "right to exist" and explain why it, and it's "recognition by an Arab country" is a concern of the United States?

Israel has the same right to its land as the US does to the Dakotas - in the latter case, we wanted them, we took them, and we killed anyone who forcefully disagreed until they stopped fighting.

Our "right to the Dakotas" will exist until we are no longer willing or able to enforce it.

Whether Arab countries, or any countries, "recognize" that right is irrelevant.

“Former U.S. Secretary of State James Baker and former National Security Adviser John Bolton”

“GOP” should be wiped out of their titles.

If Conservatives were running academia and the media the way the Left is, that is surely what would happen.

I strongly disagree....

Part of establishing peace between two countries can only happen if both sides respect the right of the other as legitimate and exist....

We rejected the right of Nazi Germany to exist, same for the empire of Japan and proceeded to defeat them....

Yes but in both cases the extermination of the Nazi and Shinto States was not contingent on anyone’s approval or disapproval.

Both States had a right to exist - until they didn’t.

Israel does, too. But having the United States involved as a participant is unnecessary. And, if it IS necessary - if this fictional “right to exist” requires someone else to guarantee it - then it really doesn’t exist at all.
