I’m not getting the math here. 85,000*0.0002 = 17, not .6805 (the 0.0002 comes from 1/500,000*100).

Near as I can tell it’s .6805/.0002 = 3402.5 times greater.

Anyone care to explain how the 85,000 times greater number is arrived at or what is wrong with the 3402.5 number I arrived at?

.6805/.0008 = 850 (dividing percentage by percentage). If you then multiply this number by 100 you get 85K.

I don’t believe the math is correct there and they are still using the report number, which is stated to be incorrect. If you take .6805/.0002 you get 3,402.5 (3400 times greater than the [correct] Fed allowance).

.0002*3402.5 = .6805, or the same percentage in the report.

The 85,000 is correct. 68.05/.0008=850625.

You converted 68.05% to .6805 but did not convert .0008% to .000008. They used the higher .0008 in the calculation.
