That's why I'm consistent in applying principles of private business ownership here.
A private company SHOULD be able to discriminate on the basis of color, creed, etc.
What would be the odds of anything happening if the couple were say, black or Muslim?
I think we all know the answer.
What’s a gatl6ic salad?
Last time I flew was on United. They gave me one of their tighty whitey masks. They are three layer. I cut two of the layers out, scrubbed the last layer to thin the cloth and it’s been my go-to mask ever since whenever I encounter a Karen with any kind of authority. I even added coffee stains. It looks really gross. My wife stopped me from adding ketchup and mustard stains because she’d be too embarrassed to be with me when I wear it. I honored her wishes.
what? you barely make sense.
The two year old is lucky that UA didn’t have her dragged off and beaten senseless.
Right ‘cause “muh Constitootion”. Am I right Mr. civNat?
Trying to get a two-year-old to wear a mask is just STUPID.
Ask any guy if he has ever washed his cloth mask and you hear him say “Nope.”
Exactly.
A new twist I’ve also added is that I always pull of them ask to hang on one ear whenever I’m talking. I also like to tell people wearing masks that I’m hard of hearing and read lips and I can’t understand what they are saying. There is actually a lot of truth to that. I wear hearing aids in meetings.
“The first time I wore a mask I had trouble breathing. It is also hard for me to understand what people are saying when they talk to me, as it sounds like they are mumbling.”
I agree...and I’m in lunatic California where everybody is insane.
It is ridiculous making ANYONE wear a mask, when they have no symptoms, have not been diagnosed as having a deadly, communicable disease, and when the “deadly disease” for which everyone is being forced to wear a mask, is LESS DEADLY THAN THE FLU.
The other passengers agreed with the airline. I wonder however what they were really thinking. I would not be surprised that in private they would agree with the couple but they didn’t want to risk being thrown of the plane too, Which is cowardly, I agree.
Garlic salads, person with a huge backpack, carry on plus a shoulder bag. I apoligize. My 2 cents dometimes types out as non sense
It effects regular people too, it’s difficult to hear the pronunciation of the vowels and consonants when the voice is muffled, even when a person is speaking into a microphone. Which is why many politicians and other people take the mask off to speak.
Even if you do have symptoms, it makes more sense to be at home while you can, which is odd since that was common sense for just about any respiratory disease, even the flu. I don’t feel like inhaling the germs back in, which I will with some of them. Also it just makes me tick to be able to smell paint, fecal matter, or perfume under the mask, because those particulates and aerosols are getting inside in order for me to smell them.
Prager didn't mention this, but United also banned the family from flying on the airline for life. Imagine, punishing a 2 y/o this way because she had a problem with a fricking mask. Do you think this is cool? I sure as hell don't.
And it doesn't matter in either case. You have no God-given right to patronize any business. In a free country United Airlines can ban you for life ... and for any damn reason they please.
I think this stupid mask idiocy is exactly that -- idiocy. But I carry a mask around in my car just in case I need to enter a business that requires it. Even if I know it's B.S., I am not the owner of the business establishment and have no right to tell the owner how to run the business. If there's a sign on the door that says I must wear a mask, I either wear a mask or I go somewhere else.
Agreed. I’ll bet United will offer a settlement out of court before they even get served on this
