Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam announced new coronavirus restrictions Thursday and urged people of faith to stay out of their churches during the Christmas season.
“This year, we need to think about what is truly the most important thing. Is it the worship or the building?” Northam said at a press conference. “For me, God is wherever you are. You don’t have to sit in the church pew for God to hear your prayers.”
He urged faith leaders to “lead the way” and “set an example” for their communities.

Not the point, genius.
Saith the great religious authority, the state. I would say he’s crossed the line and if he tries to penalize the churches or churchgoers, it will be found unconstitutional.
And You Don’t Have to Sit In the corner wearing a dunce-hat for everyone to see you are an idiot!
Sadly, most Virginia churches (including mine sadly) are gutless in the face of Northam’s mindless tyranny. There will be no pushback. Cowardice is the new article of faith for most Christian churches.
So this Governor thinks he knows all there is to know about all the different gods that individuals choose to worship.
And he expects people to believe the “all-knowing” BS he is preaching.
His attitude is outrageous.
He should also do some reading starting with the 1st amendment of our constitution.
Mosques and Hindu temples exempted, of course...
But when you mount the gallows, Northam, for your treason conviction, pray that you will not be taking a journey to a “warmer” climates
Says the baby murderer. America’s Dr. Mengele in blackface.
I would say the largest religious activity has ar least been curtailed. Publ8c schools, where they are barely teaching math, but you can identify as a walrus and the teacher must affirm or be fired.
A blatant attack on the 1st Amendment.
Matthew 18:20
Hebrews 10:25- Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Here we go, folks. Outright, criminal discrimination against religion by government. And, there is no Mayflower and ‘new world’ to run to this time. Time to make our stand.
See my tagline.

It’s true that God can hear a Christian from anywhere he prays ... but the Governor is clearly ignoring or doesn’t even know ... the command from God to not neglect the assembling together of Christians. And today, these days ... yes we do have buildings for doing that. I suppose people could all gather out in a field, or put up some kind of big tent, or whatever ... but we do have our buildings for that purpose. So ... SORRY ... what you say will just not do.
So the lord has spoken! I would only hope there is a rope in your future
May God forgive him.
I will not.
Yes, sadly that’s the case. Here in Florida the churches were free to do pretty much as they wanted...and apparently what most of them wanted to do was close their doors and never open again.
I thought SCOTUS just settled this hash.
