Maurice Taylor Sr., a black 34-year-old, was arrested Friday on suspicion of the murder of his two teenage children The bodies of his daughter, 13, and son, 12, were found inside the family home on the 45000 block of Century Circle, Lancaster, Friday morning Authorities had responded to reports of a possible gas leak at the home An adult female - thought to be the victims' mother - and two other children were also present in the home at the time They appeared to be unharmed and were being questioned by officers It is not clear when the victims died but Taylor's personal training clients told the LA Times they grew concerned earlier in the week One client contacted the LA Sheriff's Department Tuesday when he failed to show up for fitness sessions he had been running over Zoom Another client said it was he who reported the possible gas leak Friday morning as he feared for the family's safety - leading authorities to the grim discovery

BTW- I’ve never actually seen the movie Dumb & Dumber and was not at all familiar with the quote “No, it’s a cardigan, but thanks for noticing!”.
It was just something I found on a random search for movie quotes. Not having ever seen the film I have no clue why it’s considered a funny line.
