The left is ticking me off. We had to put up with their protesting every single day. Burning cities down, looting. Well, they can sit down now because we have something to say. If they don’t like it, don’t listen. But, they need to shush it up now. We’re talking now.
well, we could always take a second look at a quick special election if all other (peaceful) options seem to come up dry.
the do-over cost would presumably be on each swing state (and the candidates should all receive some campaign supplement imho), but at least it would seem to be better than a cold (or hot) civil war ii. also, the mail in balloting would need to go (bug or no bug); a halfway decent rationale would be that the calendar simply does not permit it. the problem could be further subdivided into presidential versus non presidential and addressed separately, with fixing the lower elections having to wait a couple of years.
it’s difficult under the time constraints, but then so is sending a man to the moon (although some allege that never occurred lol). and it would offload some of the responsibility of legislators voiding election results (no matter how fake those results are). everything would need to be doubletimed. a longer term advantage might be a quick overhaul of and generation of standards for election systems.
if one swing state opted for a revote, it might shame the other swing states to do the same. however one state has to be brave and be the first.
