Christopher Wray will remain the director of the FBI into the Joe Biden administration unless President Donald Trump fires him first, a Biden transition official told The New York Times.
Trump has reportedly considered firing Wray over his handling of information from the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign in 2016. Trump issued a non-committal response just before the election last month on whether he planned to retain Wray as FBI chief.
Wray, a Republican, was confirmed by the Senate on Aug. 2, 2017. He replaced James Comey, who Trump fired on May 9, 2017.
The anonymous Biden official said that the president-elect is “not removing the FBI director unless Trump fired him,” according to The New York Times...

Of course he would. I’m sure that Comey and Brennan will be hired as highly paid advisors, also.
The FBI is, and has not been “right in the head” since the days of Waco and Ruby Ridge.
With the likes of Wray, the FBI will never have the purity of Jimmy Stewart, or the red-blooded American doggedness of Edward G. Robinson.
I, as an American citizen, openly and honestly admit, the organization has bear-whizzed any confidence I had.

i will just write the obvious, which is that biden won’t last long, and wray continued into the next presidency would be wray in a position of strength over the president (eg harris, if she is not also soon replaced, or some other stooge is harris also gets the hook after biden).
we may soon enough know if it is “game on” if wray gets replaced no matter what biden is saying right now.
