A YouTuber chasing his “dreams” fractured his skull after leaping into a river from atop a massive Texas bridge last week.
Saa Fomba recorded last Monday’s stunt at Austin’s Pennybacker Bridge, posting it to his YouTube channel on Friday after several days in the hospital.
The footage shows the daredevil as he hatches the dangerous stunt.
“Hopefully this video will motivate you to chase after your dreams,” Fomba said to the camera as he prepared to jump into the Colorado river. “I don’t see no fun in living a normal life.”
A woman later records Fomba scaling up an arch of the bridge. At the apex of the arch, Fomba raises his arms into the air before wildly jumping to the water below, the video shows.

In chasing mine by standing in the way of an oncoming train!
That's because you're stupid, Saa Fomba, and I doubt a fractured skull will make you any smarter. At least you didn't injure anyone else, and I don't consider you responsible for the outcomes to anyone who decides to imitate you.
Not much to work with. You can’t improve on the finished product from the name to the deed.
His medical bills will run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars - wonder who will pay them?
Is he trying to hit the GoFundMe lottery?
Good question; his YouTube revenues? /s
When dreams and physics collide.
When the travel bans are lifted my girlfriend wants to go to Germany, rent a Mercedes/BMW/Audi,and do 120MPH on the Autobahn.I assured her that if she did so she’d be alone in the car.
It’s not the fall that gets ya...it’s the sudden stop at the end!
Well, he’s on his way. His music video channel has leaped all the way up to 13 subscribers.
Young men often burn hot and take risks for many reasons. Society and technology have gained much through the risk taking of both brave and foolish young men. Of course, risk by its very nature is dangerous and often yields negative results. In this case, it had a negative result.
At the same time, many young men just do stupid stuff, often with a cheap lesson to learn from. I am sorry to see that this young man didn’t get off cheap, but that is the very nature of doing risky things as a young man.
Prayers up. Sad to see. Here is hoping he makes a full recovery.
“120MPH on the Autobahn”
That is about middle lane speed on rural stretches of the autobahn. Passing lane would be more like 150-170MPH. And don’t sit in the left lane (& incorrectly call it the “fast lane” like some do here) or you will get a ticket and/or die by rear end collision...
There is actually a forensic medical term for that:
“Rapid Deceleration Trauma”.

Once drove from Grafenwöhr to Munich in early morning pea soup fog to catch a flight. Heavy traffic — cars, trucks, buses — motoring together at ~115-130 kph (70-80 mph)...in the right lane! Fog broke outside of Munich, but one of the worst white knuckle experiences ever. And I formerly had been a Navy carrier aviator!
“As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”
I once saw part of an interview of a policeman who patrolled the Autobahn. At one point he said that some of the accidents he responded to were so bad that the occupants couldn't even be recognized as human. I kid you not!
Just as you were freaked out by your experience I'm freaked out by that comment despite having had a 25 year career in a big city ER.
He caught the tire he was chasing.
