President Xi gave the speech Wednesday to the Central Military Commission The Chinese leader stressed the importance and urgency of war readiness Xi urged soldiers to step up combat training and 'not to fear death and hardship' He had called for military preparations amid tensions with the US and Taiwan
Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged his troops not to fear death and focus on preparing to win wars while addressing military commanders.
He told his armed forces on Wednesday to step up training under combat conditions and 'not fear death and hardship', reported state media, citing the leader.
Xi has previously called for military readiness amid spiking political tensions between Beijing and other countries, particularly the US and self-ruled Taiwan, over coronavirus pandemic, territorial disputes and human rights.
Last month, the Communist leader told his Navy troops to ‘focus all [your] minds and energy on preparing for war and maintain a high level of alert' during a tour in Chaozhou of Guangdong province.
While visiting the marine base, Xi urged the soldiers to 'speed up improving [their combat capabilities]' in order to become a 'multi-functional, rapid response, all-weather and region' elite force.

They’re going to have a hard time with the “one child syndrome”
So how is an ideology that dictates that only the material universe exists supposed to convince a military commander that fearlessness and sacrifice of lives has any kind of materialistic reward?
They have no spiritual anchor so they will be terrified..........😁
Thanks Clinton for giving them our sensitive military technology.
What tiny packet of islands in the South China sea are they gearing up to seize and annex?
Out of China’s population of 1.4 billion, there are nearly 34 million more males than females — the equivalent of almost the entire population of California, or Poland, who will never find wives and only rarely have sex. China’s official one-child policy, in effect from 1979 to 2015, was a huge factor in creating this imbalance, as millions of couples were determined that their child should be a son.
I don’t get it, but the Soviets didn’t have too much trouble with this issue.
Not to mention their ‘boys only’ policy, hence their shortage of marriageable females for breeding...
The Chinese never really had an afterlife-belief in their traditional religions. It was only later in history that they acquired Buddhism (and small minorities Islam and Christianity). And Buddhism was never really a majority thing, or was integrated into the typical Chinese syncretic Confucian-Taoist-pagan mix.
Rather, the Chinese fought for communal materialistic values, often to the point of self-sacrifice. At their most altruistic they fought for the Han people (in a mostly unconscious way), not the afterlife.
That did not change with communism.
“Thousands upon thousands of martyrs have heroically laid down their lives for the people; let us hold their banner high and march ahead along the path crimson with their blood!” - Mao
“the people” is the key.
Giving? Giving? The Clintons were selling anything not nailed down - the beginning of 'Washington Norms'...
That man is a commie dictator, not a “President.”
Especially the “death” part! Have a cup of COVID!
From what I’ve read the Indians sent more than a few of Xi’s soldiers to their ancestors.
Lets see. China wants India, Vietnam, the Philippines, and
Taiwan. Now they’ve added the United States to the
list.
Not at all greedy are they.
That’s some kind of leader they have there.
“As long as I can look like a tough-guy dictator, you
needn’t worry about what happens to you comrades.”
I hope the military is ready because I don’t think Xi would be saying such stupid things if he wasn’t planning on going into attack mode soon. The only question is attack whom. India or Taiwan?
I think an attack on India would be very costly.so there is only one other direction to go for and that’s Taiwan.
